Terry's Texas Pinto Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
Not that spicy at all, it tastes very similar to a regular pot of beans but with a little tang to it. the beans also had to cook a lot longer and they were still slightly crunchy at the end (the microwave before meals seemed to get rid of that though). I think I'll be trying a different recipe next time or sticking to families favorite way of bacon grease and beans

Hot and Sour Chicken and Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
I substituted a lot in this recipe and it turned out great. I used lime instead of lemon and sparkling cider because i had no red wine vinegar and its just a tenderizer anyways. shredded the chicken, just extra of both of the lime and cider because i had no lemon grass, added the seasonings plus a little extra. oh and the extra egg or two. This dish had a lot of chunk in it with all the extra i had but i would take out less of the water for it or more stuffing. personally i dont think there should be too much broth at the end of a water based soup- cream duh, water- no because it goes to waste.

Awesome Bow Tie Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
It was good, tasty even, but only for the day of. good party dish but not a good left over. the bitter taste of the vinegar leaves and then its sweet and there is not much flavor in this dish. simple yes, tasty yes, lots of flavor- none! definitely will be picking a different recipe next time.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
Very tasty, very moist, very addicting but too moist- nearly soggy not necessarily doughy because it is cooked, its just like a play-do texture at the bottom. might be do to sour cream but I put in extra both times ive made it along with extra banana because i didnt have the nuts and the flour...well im not really sure if more or less makes it less or more doughy. i'll be making this forever though because of how great it tastes!

Best Ever Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2011
Fail. Jalepenos- crunchy- cooked most of the way still good-ish. the flavor was gone but texture wise it was great. cheese- absolutely delicious. that i could snack on for days! like with crackers at christmas time! but when it cooked it melted like milk and couldnt stay in the jalapenos very well at least the top portion and it stuck to the bottom of the pan. crust-overall a basic cover and it was good but it was really doughy and cooked really fast. To cook it all the way you had to burn it and mine was on the right temperature even lower so I wouldn't burn it. I pretty much had to pick it off the whole meal because it just didnt work out well. overall. I am from now on, going to always buy the freezer jalapeno poppers. they are crispier, have better lasting flavor, have just as much if not more heat (I even added the seeds to the cheese). It certainly makes a lot but its not going away fast enough. Im glad most of you had luck with this recipe but I am never making them again. P.S. WEAR THE DARN GLOVES! MY HANDS BURNED FOR HOURS AND IVE CUT JALAPENOS MANY MANY TIMES BEFORE AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. IT WASN'T A NORMAL STING. MY HANDS WERE ON FIRE ALL FREAKING NIGHT LONG.
