I have really enjoyed my last few months as an Allrecipes Allstar. It's pretty cool how my journey with Allrecipes got started.
I was always going to Google and searching for new recipes and new ways to do things in the kitchen.
Nine times out of ten when the results came up Allrecipes.com was the very top of the list.
I used the website for a long time, a few years really, before I ever registered as a member. What finally made me decide to do so, and also convinced me to stay, was the digital recipe box. Sometimes I'm in a hurry and don't want to print a recipe out
right away. It's nice to be able to save it there, instead of bookmarking the site and it getting lost in my hundreds of other random bookmarks. Now all my favorite recipes are right in one place and organized a lot better.
I subscribed to some of the different newsletters that Allrecipes offers, and that's where I found out about the Allstars program. I filled out the application and was thrilled when a month or so later, I received an email from Ivory telling me I had been
chosen to be an Allrecipes Allstar Brand Ambassador!
I had used and blogged on other cooking websites in the past, but I am hooked on Allrecipes now and rarely visit the other sites. Everything I need is right here in one place. I've met so many fantastic ladies (and a few gentlemen!) from Allrecipes and
connected with them on Facebook and Twitter. It's nice to be able to share our cooking and baking successes and flops. I've learned a lot of things from them and discovered new ways of doing things I never would have thought of on my own.
Being an Allrecipes Allstar has challenged me to make dishes that I otherwise would probably have not made on my own. Some of them I haven't particularly enjoyed...but others, WOW!
I'm very thankful for the opportunity that Allrecipes has given me to grow as a cook.
I'm so very glad that I stumbled upon the website all those years ago!
