Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2014
I made this for our volunteer firemen's ice dive weekend rescue drill. Several men wanted to know who made it. It was a big hit, no leftovers. Recipe requested by one of the wives. I used a scant half teaspoon of cayenne and 2 small cans of chopped green chili peppers and followed everything else as written. Will definitely make this again.

Classic Fried Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2012
This was a really tasty dish. I made it as directed and served as a side dish at a cook out with ribs. Most had seconds (a true review) and several wanted the recipe. No need to change anything it's good the way it is. A keeper! Thanks!

Chicago-Style Pan Pizza

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2011
This is my favorite pizza, including anything I could get in a restaurant. I make if often without any changes. However, I always have "issues" with the crust, not cooked or bubbles and shrinkage when pre-cooked as many have suggested etc. The secret to this recipe is to use a 12" pizza pan with the holes in it. No need to pre-cook the crust. Bake using a lower oven shelf. The crust comes out perfect and cooked and it's also much easier to serve. Slide it onto a cutting board and cut into pizza slices. Thanks for the excellent recipe.

Barbequed Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2010
I made no changes to the recipe and these were the best ribs I have ever had. The rub, the sauce etc was absolutely delicious. Prepare the day before and then just grill with the work behind you. Thanks for a definite keeper.

This was excellent.Mmm. I served the chicken with egg noodles which we like better than angel pasta, other than that, I didn't alter the recipe. I will definately make this again just as it is. Thanks Marion for the recipe.

Lazy Dazy Cake I

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2005
Really nice cake. Cook only 28-30 minutes. I found when broiling the topping not to move the oven rack closer to the broiler. It browned better and didn't burn when I left the rack in the center of the oven where I cooked the cake. I just set the oven to broil. Would be good with your own frosting or fruit too. A keeper, thanks.
