I had high hopes for this, but it was a disapointing recipe. I found it too sweet and much more bland than I expected. It was lacking that salty, fuller-bodied beef flavor that I prefer in my french onion soup. If I tried this again I would probably swap the amounts of the chicken and beef broth (or nix the chicken broth altogether), add more worcestershire, and stay away from so much sweet onion; but as-is this is not a keeper.

Creamy Dill Dip

Delicious. My mom always served this by spooning the dip into a semi-hollowed out loaf of Rye bread, then she tore the bread she took out into bite-size pieces for dipping (as well as some veggies). Always a big hit.

Flatlander Chili

LOVE this recipe! I was a little skeptical at first because of the amount of tomato juice and sauce it called for, but it's become my go-to chili recipe. The only changes I make are adding a little extra cumin and cayenne pepper to better suit my taste, but otherwise I follow instructions as-is and it turns out great every time (I've left out the green pepper and celery once before too because I didn't have them on hand; it was just as good without). I always receive rave reviews and requests for the recipe when I make this. Thank you for sharing such a fantastic recipe!
