Hot Dog Men

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
I am rating this a 5 for the sheer adorable-factor! A hot dog is a hot dog, but this makes it fun to eat. I am going to make these today for my 2 boys, and I know they will go nuts, as they were fans of the octopus as well. Another thing we do in our house is slice them, add a little ketchup and mustard on top of each one (like a sushi roll), and serve with chop sticks! Also a big hit!

Fruited Curry Chicken Salad

Reviewed: May 31, 2006
Love this! So yummy! I used the meat on a leftover rostisserie chicken for this. The curry amount is perfect, not overwhelming. And these are ingredients I usually have on hand! Thanks so much for this recipe!

Pinwheel Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2006
This was very good! :o) I used fresh spinach, and added it to the mushroom/onion mixture (after the onion was cooked) I used extra sharp cheese, and I am glad I did, otherwise the meat may have been a little bland. My two year old inhaled it, as did my husband, so I think it was a smashing success. Thanks!!

Did what others said, cut soy sauce in half, added honey and a little EVOO. I also cooked it only 3.5 hours. Served over cinnamon Jasmine rice. DELISH!

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2006
AMAZING! Unbelievably delicious! I got such rave reviews on this, that I felt like a gourmet chef! I made it with orginal grey poupon, and served it with steamed broccoli and cous cous! I, too, used the panko bread crumbs for a little extra crunch. Big, huge, hit! I wish there were leftovers to eat today. *sigh*

Cheesy Chicken Pot Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2006
I don't know if I should be giving this 5 stars only because I made so many changes. I used leftover rotisserie chicken, frozen mixed veggies, a whole 8z block of shredded sharp chedder (we love cheese here), and made the bisqick top (1 cup bisquick, 1/2 cup milk, 1 egg 400 degrees for 30 minutes) It was extremely quick and easy! I would have like the traditional pie top, but I didn't have time to make it (*read to small children under my feet :o) ). I did make the mistake of adding some milk to the final mixture because it looked too thick, but I should have left it alone. Mine was just a little too runny, but still delish. My two year old LOVED it! Thanks

Strawberry Trifle

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2006
This was quick and easy, and I made it with leftover angel food cake! It was delish. I used a good portion of the 16oz tub of cool whip, and also added blueberries. My husband loved this. I am going to bring it to my friends house for dessert next month! Easy and impressive looking! :o)

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2006
If I could give this more stars, I would! This was SOOOO delish! We made it for a dinner party appetizer, and it was gone....and that is during the e-coli spinach scare! hahaha So that says a lot! My 2 year old kept snatching the spoon and eating it scooping up huge amounts into his mouth! Thanks so much for this recipe, it is a keeper!

Never Enough Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2006
This was not only delicious, but versatile! We enjoyed the casserole on Christmas, and then I added some more veggies, chicken, velveeta, french fried onions, and cream of chicken soup together to the leftovers, topped it with a pie crust and had the BEST POT PIE ever. This was a HUGE hit on Christmas!

I was so skeptical of this recipe since it cooked so long, but it was so delicious! I cute it down to make only 2 chops, and my husband and I ate it as fast as we could since our 2 year old kept asking for "more please"! hahaha Very easy, and will definately make again! Yummy!!

Cinnamon Swirl Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2008
This was amazing! Ok, I added half whole wheat flour. And then when I rolled it out, I did something else. I put about 1/2 cup raisins in a food processor, and mixed it with a tablespoon of butter to make it more spreadable. After the butter, I spread the raisin mixture, and ground (almost fine!) pecans, then cinnamon sugar...then rolled. This was so amazing toasted for breakfast. My family loved it!
