Classic Cranberry Nut Bread

I made this for Christmas. After baking, it looked a little pale so I made a simple confectionery sugar/milk icing to put on top of the bread. It was fantastic. I think the icing gave it a little more sweetness which we liked. My husband raved about it. Thank you for such a great new Christmas tradition.

Gravy Baked Pork Chops

I also make this recipe adding some onion while I brown the pork chops. The onion adds a nice flavor. Great comfort food...we serve the gravy over mashed potatoes :) Thanks

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Good cookies but I had to add more flour then the recipe called for because it was too thin/sticky without it. When we rolled the dough to cut it out we had to add flour because the dough was too sticky and then after cookies were baked there was flour on them and the frosting wouldn't stick....I just didn't have the luck the others had. The cookies did taste good though but I think I will continue to search for a better sugar cookie recipe for me.

Apple Crisp II

Great recipe! I took some suggestions and doubled the topping the first time I made it but my husband said "It would be perfect if you would just cut the topping in half" lol so next time I made it, I followed the recipe to a T and it was great. Thank you!!

I thought they were very good! I did make the dough in the bread machine which saves much effort! I also added more sugar to the dough (1/3 cup) to make it more of a sweet dough...thank you!

Sweet Dinner Rolls

I've already rated this recipe once but felt it deserved another rating...it is fantastic! The best yeast rolls EVER and I have tried many recipes in my attempt to find the perfect ones...I followed it perfectly making my dough in the bread machine's dough cycle then simply pulling off about 15 balls to rise. Very simple. My family even says these are better then my mother-in-law's yeast rolls which is a real compliment. Thank you for this recipe!

Pittsburgh Chipped Ham Barbecues

I'm from Pittsburgh and this recipe brought me back home...we used to use Isley's chipped ham to make these when I was a kid. This recipe is very good but another way to make it is equal parts chili sauce and ketchup then add bar-b-que sauce to taste. Thank you for this recipe! Now I'm homesick!!

Authentic German Potato Salad

Very good potato salad!! The only thing I did different was I added some hard boiled eggs. Made this salad for a picnic and since there was no mayonaise, it really held up well. Thank you for the recipe!

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

I used 1/2 half and half and 1/2 Coconut milk. I also made the topping from beating 1/2 pint of whipping cream with 2 Tbs. powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of coconut extract. My husband (who loves coconut cream pie) LOVED this recipe and says it is the BEST one he ever had!! Thank you so much for this recipe! It really made me look good :)
