About this Cook
Brand new to the cooking field. Been an independent single woman for over 15 years and never had the 'need' to cook .. lol. But I have recently acquired an interest in cooking and so far .. I love it! My knowledge in cooking is very limited to my native upbringings (Puerto Rican/Cuban cuisine), and I am pretty good at it! But am exploring American cooking, Italian, and Mediterranean dishes. I've learned a lot from here .. so thanks to everyone's input on Allrecipes.com.
My favorite things to cook
Puerto Rican/Cuban dishes .. love cilantro, garlic, and plaintain dishes .. yum! Italian .. love cheeses and basil! Mediterranean .. can't live without the olive oil and garlic dishes .. yum!

Mojo Grilling Marinade
Absolutley delicious! This recipe is perfect for truly traditional cuban or puertorrican style dish, or simply as a side dip for any meat. However, I suggest adding about 1/4 cup white vinegar as well to this recipe if using the mojo as a pre-seasoning marinade for pork, beef, or chicken, mojo-style roasted turkey. Let meat marinade for at least 6 hrs in the refrigerator (preferably overnight) and I guarantee, you will absolutely love it!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Roast
Wow, I think the coriander made a BIG difference in the flavor. Absolutely delicious!

Puerto Rican Pork Roast
Absolutely delicious! .. I made a baste out of all the ingredients on here (garlic, salt, pepper, fresh oregano chopped in a food chopper) mixed with the olive oil and added a teaspoon of white vinegar to help tenderize the pork. For a better taste, let marinade overnight .. With the Yucca, I served with a Extra Virgin Olive Oil & Thinly chopped Garlic dressing (mojo).
