Coconut Curry Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2014
I used 1 can of diced tomatoes and 1 can of tomato puree. I also added fresh basil and used hot mango chutney and hot curry powder (we like spicy). This was delicious and I will definitely be making it again!

Cheesy Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2013
Loved this recipe! Made very slight changes. First, i cut the recipe in half since there are only two of us. Secondly, I used turkey sausage instead of bacon. Thirdly, I added 3/4 teaspoon of dry mustard to the eggs before adding to the hash browns and sausage. I covered it for part of the baking time and baked it for an hour and ten minutes. I have always made a breakfast casserole for Christmas morning and this is the best I have made. I really like that it doesn't have bread and includes hash browns. In the past I made a separate hash brown casserole. This made it so much easier. Thank you parothstein for sharing!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2013
Need to amend my previous review. I did not add any additional salt (with the ham and Better than Bouillon it didn't need more salt) and added pepper to taste!

Greek Lentil Soup (Fakes)

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2013
My husband was skeptical about lentil soup but loved this. I did add red pepper flakes and lemon juice. We used red wine vinegar and that really does make this soup.

Autumn Pork Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2013
I have made this recipe twice and my husband and I both love it. I reduced the brown sugar to 1/4 cup and added two peeled sliced Granny Smith . I browned the pork in a large cast iron skillet and baked it covered with foil. The pork tenderloin was so tender you could cut it with a fork. This is a delicious recipe for butternut squash and pork. I will definitely be making this again!

Turnip Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2012
I have never been a fan of turnips but had some I wanted to use. This recipe was delicious and has turned me into a fan of turnips. Will definitely make this again. I did add carrots with the turnips as I cooked them. We do not like soft, mushy vegetables so only cooked them about 10-15 minutes. Thank you for this recipe.
