Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
I recently tried this for my first Thanksgiving. I got a lot of compliments on it and in fact, I just got a request to bring it to Christmas dinner at my parents! My family was suspicious of it at first as they were used to plain PF stuffing, but they loved it! Update in 09... It's now my second thanksgiving and both my parents and sister's family have asked that I bring this... Oh- I omitted the liver, used PF stuffing, Jimmy Dean Sage Pork sausage and will try the fresh herbs this year to see if it makes a difference. Enjoy! My family sure did!

Cheesesteak Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
I liked this recipe, but found that the egg roll wrappers were a little too thick. I used the thinner spring roll wrappers brushed with egg yolk, and put steak umms, onion, provolone and american cheese in the middle. This was a great start, but I think the choice of the wrapper makes all the difference.

Easy Honey Mustard Mozzarella Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
I had high hopes for this recipe, but my family didn't like it at all. I thought it would be similar to Aimee's Chicken... one of my hubby's favorites.(found here on allrecipes) So, I was hoping for another favorite to go into the rotation, but no such luck.

Chili Cheese Dip III

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2004
I've made this before, but only half the cream cheese and baked in the oven. I've also made it WITH beans, but unless you know your 'audience', I'd suggest without. Some wouldn't touch it with the beans included!

Easy and Delicious Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2003
I thought my hubby didn't like cream sauces, but since he ordered chicken alfredo last time we went out, thought I'd try it. Hubby ate it, but wasn't too crazy about it and reminded me that he doesn't like cream sauces. ? Whatever! ANYWAY, gave the leftovers to my folks as I didn't want it to go to waste. They ate it over Peppridge Farms Pastry shells and RAVED about it. Mom said it was very tasty! Just goes to show you that reviews are entirely subjective. lol.

I took this to a holiday dinner and it was a hit. A bit messy to travel with, but I'll make this again over the holidays!

Baked Beans II

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2003
Ironically enough, I hate baked beans. lol. But my family loves them so I tried this on two different groups over the July fourth and Memorial day holidays. Everyone LOVED them and wanted to know the specifics. Two enthusiastic thumbs up from my extended family!

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2003
I personally liked this lasagna, but the preparation was a little more involved than my current recipe. So that was a negative. Also, my husband didn't care for it. However, *I* liked it and may make it time to time just for variety!

Aimee's Quick Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2003
My husband was a little suspicious of this when I put it in front of him, but the more he ate, the more he liked it. I've made it three times since and I would recommend highly. Doesn't get much easier than this recipe. OH- as the mixture had a tendency to stick to my dish, I'd spray a little non-stick spray beforehand!

Cheddar Strata with Grilled Onions

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2002
I used what I had on hand- regular white bread and tomato paste instead of tomatoes. There were a LOT of onions in it, although I halved the amount of onions I put in it. My husband, who dislikes onions, will normally eat them if they're 'disguised' well. He hated this recipe. I thought it was really good, however!!! My daughter loved it as well, but we both love onions! I'll make it again, but when he's out of town!

Baked Cream Cheese Appetizer

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2002
I really loved this! It was easy, although you have to be careful to seal the dough. I just used dill and at first bite, both my husband and I thought it was a little bland. However, we couldn't STOP eating it! We ate the whole thing ourselves. I will try adding the garlic powder next time, but there WILL definitely be a next time!

Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2002
These took a little extra time, but they were good!!! I left out the mushrooms, and used bacon bits instead. I also threw in some minced garlic in place of the garlic powder. My hubby loved it as is, but I'm thinking next time, I might substitute softened cream cheese for the sour cream! I'll be reheating them tonight and looking forward to eating them!!!
