Chinese Barbequed Spareribs

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
I made these for new years party and they were great. I didn't use the 5 spice powder cause my supermarket didn't carry it. Also I used red instead of white wine and regular cranberry suace instead of jelled. First they smelled just like the restaurant then they tasted the same. So good, everyone pigged out on them.

Citrus-Ginger Flat Iron Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2013
I used a flank steak and only had it marinate for an hour. It was delicious. The flavors were very subtle and not over powering. I'll make it again.

Roasted Lemon Herb Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2013
Family loved this. I did bake it covered for almost 2 1/2 hours. I mixed 1/2 tsp each of basil, parsley and oregano for the Italian seasonings since I didn't have that. Then I quartered a red onion and stuffed it in. I added some water to the pan, covered then baked it. I cheated with the gravy and mixed about 3/4 cup of the pan drippings with Heinz's jar gravy and heated it in the microwave. Everything was so delicious.

Family loved this recipe. The only change I made was to add a cup of dry white wine when I removed the butter mixture from heat.

I added a little dash of red pepper flakes to both the chicken and sauce for a small kick. Then served this as a salad. It was wonderful.

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
Love it. I mix a whole lot of it up, except for the milk and vanilla, and keep it in an air tight container. Then just scoop 1 of what ever size measure and use the same measure times 2 of the milk. I heat in the microwave for a couple of minutes, whisk, then heat again another minute. Sometimes I remember to add a splash of vanilla, but I like it even without.

Pork Roast with Sauerkraut and Kielbasa

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2014
The pork was so moist. I rinsed and drained the kraut. Then added some caraway seeds, brown sugar and 1 1/2 Granny Smith apples to it. For the kielbasa, I had to use garlic sausage, it was all I had. I also had to use dried thyme on the pork. This is the way I'll be making my pork for New Year's from now on.

Golden Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2008
Wonderful dish. I did do some changes and followed others direction to braise the chops and saute the onions in butter. I didn't have mushrooms and added red pepper. I also added garlic, 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/2cup white wine to the soups mixture. My family had seconds and mom even licked the plate, literally. This is a keeper.

Pork Schnitzel with Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2013
My family loves this. Its just like how I always made it. My grandmother's recipe called for regular seasoned bread crumbs, but I changed it to panko. I was searching for a variation of schnitzel when I saw this and was surprised its just like mine. I usually use dill seeds for the sauce because I never have fresh dill and I use more paprika cause I love it. We never use the sauce for dipping, we just pour it right on top of the pork and noodles or dumplings.
