Cat Poop Cookies III

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2004
These cookies definitely look authentic and weren't hard to make. Everyone at work saw them and did a double take. In the taste department, they are quite lacking if you like sweet cookies.I didn't care for the taste at all. They are firm and only slightly sweet. I would suggest modifying the recipe to include more sugar, or maybe use Nestle quik or something instead of cocoa powder. Maybe the whole wheat did it, who knows... Experiment to find the best taste and most realistic looking. A+ on presentation, D on taste. I might even say 'F' but I'm trying to be nice.

Amaretto Divine

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2004
This cake was easy to make and sooo delicious. For me, it works best as a trifle, and looks lovely as such. I took it to work for a coworker of mine and it was gone before the end of the day. Everyone that tasted it raved about how good it was and I handed the recipe out to at least two people. One thing though, about the recipe: when you mix the pudding mix with the creamer and amaretto, it doesn't thicken as pudding would with milk, but that's okay(at first I thought I goofed). Also, if you're not good at whipping cream ( and I'm not), Cool Whip works just as well, but I'd try the extra creamy versions. All in all, this cake recipe ROCKS!

I don't know how anyone would have time to bake with 11 children - my goodness, I can barely handle one! Great cake though, love it!

Pina Colada Cake III

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2003
A co-worker made this cake for my birthday, after finding it here when I requested a pina colada cake. Oh MAN was it good! I didn't even wait until lunch to cut it, we ate it for breakfast AND at lunch. Rarely is there a cake brought to work that is eaten in a day, but we killed 95% of it by the end of the day, and there aren't many people in this office. I bet we all ate at least 3 pieces. I only had two pieces to bring home for my sister to taste, and now she wants the recipe too! It's awesome. I did hear that the cream of coconut was a bit troublesome to mix in because of its thickness but maybe if you microwave it for a minute it will soften up, who knows. A++++ recipe, absolutely wonderful, you gotta make it I tell ya!

Texas Praline Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2003
The cake was beautiful when done, the icing is delicious, but the inside was drier than beach sand. I thought if I ever used the recipe again, I might add a bit of applesauce or something. I couldn't eat it like that.

Pumpkin Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2002
A co-worker made this recipe for our office and everyone couldn't get enough of it. It is very, very moist and perfect with a cup of coffee. She used the "Cream cheese frosting II" recipe here on AllRecipes and it was incredible. I plan on making it for Thanksgiving as well.
