Mrs. Sigg's Fresh Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2007
Super pie! We really enjoyed the pie. I did follow a previous cook's advice and whirled all the ingredients in the blender. That was a good hint for a smooth pie. I also was worried because the pie filling poured into the crust as thin as water. Another good hint was to put the pie crust on the oven rack and pour the filling in; then sliding it in the oven. That avoids having to carry a full pie filling and sloshing it on the kitchen floor. The pie baked up nice and firm. Don't let the thin looking filling worry you. The taste is amazing. Thank you so much for the recipe!

Addictive Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2007
Outstanding muffins! I used fresh pumpkin instead of canned. I dont care for cloves so, I took the advice of a previous cook and increased the nutmeg and cinnamon...that worked just fine. We used our "left over" batter and filled mini muffins which took 15 minutes to bake. They were yummy too. Thanks very much for sharing such a delicious muffin recipe!

Bread Machine Bagels

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2007
We made these bagels today and they are terrific We used many of the suggestions of previous cooks. Added 3 Tablespoons of molasses to the boiling water for a pretty color, it didn’t add sweetness to the final product. Then instead of egg white we sprayed them with cooking spray then sprinkled garlic & sea salt on them. We rolled the bagels out in ropes, wrapped them around our hands and pinched the ends together. They turned out great! Thank you very much Cristy for the recipe

Jalapeno Pepper Jelly

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2007
very good jelly I also had excess fresh jalapenos. I threw the seeded peppers and the red peppers in the blender. Then I followed the recipe after than; it turned out great. Putting this jelly on a cream cheese covered cracker is addicting. Thanks for the recipe!

Million Dollar Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2006
this was very good! I listened to the previous people who rated this recipe. I held back the juice and added it to the frosting as I saw fit. Since it was a rainy day, that turned out to be a wise decision. We used cheesecake pudding and it added a little more oommph. Everyone that tried it wondered why I didn't put coconut on it. Maybe next time. This recipe is a keeper. Thanks!

Honey Wheat Sandwich Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2006
Fabulous bread. Love it for sandwiches and dinner rolls also. I had made a pan of rolls and had dough left over. I rolled them into med. balls (1 dozen) and put into a round cake pan. Let them rise and ate them with supper. They were a BIG HIT. This is a keeper for me.

Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2006
I looked at all the diffrent suggestions and just went for it with this recipe. I used Ricotta instead of cottage cheese. Since it was before payay, I mixed and matched diffrent cheeses (smoked gouda, cheddar and mozerella) till I reached 2 cups. I put it in a store bought roll out crust, and added a few cooked slices of turkey bacon in the mix, and garlic powder 1 teasp. WOW was it good. Great basic recipe to mix and match. I loved it!
