Grilled Pork Chops with Balsamic Caramelized Pears

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2013
i thought i had pears when i started this recipe but found out they were too too ripe to use, so i used PEACHES instead.. AMAZING recipe! I will definitely be making this again. the flavors work so well together. I used Cento Balsamic vinegar and it didnt exactly thicken when reduced but when i added it to the peaches and onoins, it came out very well. my husband is not an adventurous eater, so he ate his pork chop plain, but it was tender, juicy and very flavorful. I used a a boneless chop and watched them carefully on the grill so they did not overcook. I only had 4 chops .. wish i had made more!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2013
this recipe was wonderful!! i marinated them in a plastic bag in the fridge and forgot about them when friends asked us to go out with them.. i cooked them the next day. They were moist, tender, VERY flavorful!! I used chicken tenders.. left them in one piece and threaded them on skewers to grill. I used bamboo skewers that I soaked in leftover lemon-lime soda. The only substitution i made was fresh lime juice for the lemon juice and i used only half the sugar. Will be making these regularly

THis dish was excellent; very unusual but even my fussy hubby liked it. A combination of flavors I would never have believed would work together but they did!

Cherry Crunch

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2012
I made this in a serving size for 2 .... as I am often alone Monday-Friday. I was out of vanilla and almonds. I had almond butter, however. I substituted half of the butter for almond butter and added some chopped walnuts to the crumble. I also used 5-grain whole gran hot cereal mix instead of plain oatmeal and added cinnamon. I used a small ramikin and baked it in my tabletop convention toaster-oven-broiler using convetion heating at 400* for 20 minutes. Delicious hot AND Cold !!!!

Tuna Melts

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2012
I mixed my tuna with MUCH less mayo, onion and finely diced celery. I then cored and sliced an apple into very thin rounds. I put the apple slice on top of the tuna on the bread, and used a slice of alpine lace swiss cheese and broiled for a few minutes after baking to get the cheese to bubble slightly .... YUMMMY !!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
This is a variation on a theme; I have a similar recipe that I LOVE and I often use to prepare large amounts of chicken drums and thighs for large family get-togethers. I double the liquid ingredients and add ketchup in the same amount as the soy sauce. I do not fry the drums and thighs but put them in a large roasting pan., drizzle the sauce over it and bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes. I often make this recipe using 10 lbs of drums and thighs. It is always a crowd-pleaser! I never tried it with boneless breasts on the stovetop but will be making it for new years eve! Thanks for the recipe!

Fruit Pizza I

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2011
I made this for the 4th but used packaged sugar cookie dough mix and added 1/2 cup finely chopped toasted pecans into the dry mix before mixing with egg and softened butter. I also folded a half container of cool whip into the cream cheese mixture and reduced the sugar a little bit. The pecans gave it a terrific flavor!
