Tomatillo Salsa Verde

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2013
Way too watery. I wouldn't add lime juice or vinegar. Real Salsa verda doesn' have either.

This is good basic to the point. I use it all the time. Good with dill pickle or sweet.

Pepper Steak and Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2010
This recipe is great. I used kitchen bouquet just for the color, because thats what my mom did, and soy sauce and salt for taste. Used Jasmine rice. Even my son the soldier loved it, and he doesn't like bell pepper or onion. Way to go Helen, definatly worth the ink to print it for my recipe folder. Would have given it 5 stars except there was no soy sauce in the recipe

Corn Dogs

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
Followed the recipe to the "T" Except I used polish sausage instead of dogs. Off the hook. Great recipe. I gave it 4 stars cause it was a polish corn dog not a prime rib. Definatly as good if not better than carnival fare. Easy to prepare and I will make them again. Thank You

Red Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
I cut the root end off a head of garlic, drizzle with olive oil and salt and pepper. Roast in a 320 degree oven for a half hour. Then I squeeze the garlic out of the husks mash good with a fork and add to potatoes with butter salt and pepper and sour cream. That is all you need to know about potatoes. No Sugar

I love this dish with fish. It is light not overpowering. Sometimes I use fresh sprigs of thyme. Yum
