I live in a very small town of 3800 people. I have been married for 22 years and have 2 children. I have a son who is 20 and a daughter 15. I work fulltime for a Construction Company as a salesperson for new homes.
My favorite things to cook
Comfort foods. I love trying out new recipes on my family and friends. Cooking relaxes me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Just sharing my love of cooking with my children and there ability too at least try new things. Teaching my daughter how to cook
My cooking triumphs
Being asked for recipes when I bring a dish somewhere is great. I just brought some mini cheescakes to our church pinic and a little girl came up and asked if I would come to her birthday party and bring my mini
cheesecakes with me. I thought that was wonderful and I plan on attending her party
My cooking tragedies
One of the first meals I made for my husband was beef liver he just loves it. I thought I would see if I could broil it. I floured it and put it under the broiler. Boy was that a mistake it came out still white. I then tried to fry in a pan and it was so over cooked. Also the first time I made beef stew I thought the recipe said 1 tablespoon of pepper not 1 teaspoon. Not a very good meal
