Caramel Heavenlies

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2011
I used chocolate grahams and replaced the coconut with mini M&Ms. Looks really cute, and should definitely be called a candy bar.

Simple Whole Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2012
This chicken recipe is killer good. The high starting temperature crisps the skin, so the inside can steam. It cooks fast and evenly for a roasted chicken. My other chicken experiences have been dry, raw nightmares.. >_

Peanut Noodles

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2012
Used ground ginger for lack of fresh stuff and it turned out tasty. Heed the "too salty" warnings, I only have dark soy sauce which is way saltier, and used less than a 1/4 cup and it was just right!

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2012
Like the spices of winter? I added extra ginger, cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg. Very spicy, it was almost hot to the tongue! But a perfect texture: like eating a spiced, hot miniature pillow.

Best Cream Of Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2012
Worked great with chicken bouillon, and I used a tip from another user: instead of blender, use a potato masher! I mashed while cooking the roux. Delicious as a wintery season lunch.

Chicken Milanese

Reviewed: May 21, 2013
just perfectly flavorful! I made my own bread crumbs, heavy on italian seasoning. They are right about the salt. Do not skimp! I recommend flattening breasts to less than 1" thickness. It coats and cooks better. Also, use a non-stick pan to save yourself some grief and don't miss out on any of the flavorful coating.

This can be made with 2 lbs ground chicken. Very spicy and flavorful, perfect for dry, bland chicken!

Pressure Cooker Teriyaki Chicken

Flavor is too strong, decrease the soy sauce a little. Otherwise, very easy.

Made it in a cast iron dutch oven on the stove. Turned out pretty good! I made two cakes with one recipe.

No Bakes

Made these about 5 times. If you can get the sugar to dissolve, it will not be gritty, and will taste way better!

Made this recipe 5 times, each time with a different vegetable blend and with different cuts of chicken. Always turns out delicious.

Cucumber Sandwich

Reviewed: May 31, 2013
Most satisfying veg sandwich I've tried, even missing 4 of the veggies ingredients! Where I live, avocados, lettuce, sprouts, pepperoncini and cream cheese are not available at all. So my sandwich only had onions, tomatoes and cucumbers, and my "cream cheese" was just yogurt with all the whey liquid strained out, and it was STILL DELICIOUS. Which proves the power of simple seasonings like S&P, oil & vinegar. Thank God for this fantastic combo!

Curry Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2014
Just made a half recipe tonight and eyeballed all the ingredients, and it still turned out good! My curry spice was very hot so the soup was spicy. I also used heavy cream, boy was it rich and filling!

Butternut Mascarpone Gnocchi

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2014
You can use pumpkin puree and ricotta in this recipe (substitutions for butternut and mascarpone) and it will be terrific. Don't be worried about not having sage. I didn't have any, and it turned out so mouth-wateringly creamy, salty, crispy that I didn't miss it! Served it with my fav. veggie side dish: garlic bread. :O...
