Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2006
These are amazing, and so simple to make! We ate them as dinner rolls, then I made the dough again, flattening out the dough balls and wrapping them around small smoked sausage links with cheese. I baked them for the same amount of time, and got these wonderful sausage and cheese stuffed rolls that the kids and hubby just couldn't get enough of! Thanks for the versatile recipe, can't wait to put them on the table for Thanksgiving!!

Chex® Muddy Buddies®

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2006
Kids loved this one. I may thin out the chocolate peanut butter mixture a bit more next time, because it was really hard to mix and came out kind of lumpy. Overall, very very tasty. Thanks!

Chocolate Pudding Fudge Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2006
Excellent cake! It took ALOT longer (about 35 minutes longer) to cook than indicated, and the edges turned out burnt, so next time I will probably make 2 bundts with this recipe. Also, instead of making the glaze, I zig-zagged ready-made frosting over the entire cake (using a zip-loc with a hole cut in the corner) and sprinkled it with more mini chocolate chips and chocolate curls before the frosting hardened. AWESOME! Thanks for the recipe! :D

Mom's Carne Guisada

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2006
Excellent, exactly what I was looking for. I did add more cumin and garlic to it for flavor. Excellent served wrapped up in a soft flour tortilla, topped with some shredded cheese. Reminds me of home (south TX). Thanks for the recipe! :D

Exactly the recipe I was looking for. Did make one slight change -- I added a few cubes of Velveeta to the chicken mixture. Thanks!!!!

Easy Herb Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2005
WOW, that's all I can say... WOW! Very juicy, flavorful, and I didn't have one bite leftover!! I cooked in in my extra big slow cooker to save oven space (which cooks the turkey in half the time) and it was so moist and tender, it fell apart! Thanks!

Came out great. Next time will add more black pepper and perhaps some bouillon granules, but overall a very good recipe. Thanks!

Sweet Potato Bake

Amazing, awesome, wow! Everyone at Thanksgiving loved it (even my husband who doesn't like sweet potatoes said it was OK!) Will make this every year, and probably a few more times during the year for myself! :D Thanks!

Creamy Butternut Squash With Cinnamon Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2005
Way too much spice, and too thick. May try again with 1/4 of the spice, and a bunch more broth. Thanks anyway.

Old Time Soft Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2005
Perfect! I was looking for a soft, cake-like sugar cookie for the kids (like you find at the "supercenter") and these were perfect! I iced them and gave them sprinkles to decorate with. I did sub half of the shortening for butter to add richness. Thanks for the recipe! AWESOME! :D

Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms II

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2005
Very good! I did make a few changes. I made them twice, once with spicy breakfast sausage, and once with italian sausage. Both very good. I also added oregano, basil, garlic, and salt. In addition, I drizzled the baking pan with a bit of olive oil to give the mushrooms some moistness, and cooked at 400 for about ten minutes instead of broiling. Great recipe!

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2005
Terriffic! It is definately a must to use golden raisins in this recipe, it makes a HUGE difference. Also, I used red wine vinegar instead of white, just because of preference. ALSO: much much better if you make it a few days in advance. Needs to "rest" and soak up flavors. WONDERFUL recipe, THANK YOU!

Apple Butter Pork Loin

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2004
Amazing! The applebutter glaze on top was wonderful! Next time, I will probably inject the meat with apple cider, cinnamon, and a dash of clove with my meat injector, just to infuse more of the flavor throughout the meat. Otherwise, it was heavenly! Served it with stuffing with the pan juices poured over it. MMMMMMM

Chocolate Ribbon Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2003
My guests literally fight over this pie, debating over who has the biggest slice, and there's never a morsel left over!! It's so absolutely easy to make (no oven required--yea!) and I have never had anyone NOT like this pie! I found the recipe for this in a magazine years ago, and couldn't find it til now. Thank you so much for bringing it back!! :-) Folks, you CAN NOT go wrong with this pie!!!!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2003
Terriffic! And if you want them extra fluffy, add only the egg yolk when mixing the ingredients together, then beat the egg white until it's soft and fluffy (not too stiff), and fold into the batter. Will make your pancakes so light and tender!! Also, add a little vanilla (appx 1 tsp) for flavor. Thanks for the recipe!!

Tante's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2003
I was not impressed with the recipe. The pie came out really liquidy, and after an hour, the crumble on the top had melted into the pie because it had so much liquid. Perhaps I will try it again, but toss a few tablespoons of flour or cornstarch with the apples, along with some cinnamon and sugar.

Pumpkin Roll I

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2003
Excellent! I've been looking for this recipe for a while now! I did make one change--I left the nuts off the cake portion, because it becomes too hard to roll. You can, if you want the nuts, add them to the cream cheese filling, that way the cake doesn't fall apart when you roll it. Thanks for the recipe!
