Yummy Candied Yams

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2003
My mother-in-law wanted yams for Easter dinner, so I made this recipe. I didn't get syrupy and thick in the pan, I cooked it for about 45 mins. and the yams were done but there was no syrup - just water and seasonings. So - I put it in a corning ware dish and popped it in the oven with all the liquid. I let it cook at 400 degress for about 40 mins. and it turned out great!! Everyone loved it and said they hope I make it for Thanksgiving! I added a small amount of nutmeg, cinnamon and swirled some molasses on top while it was cooking! It was a true success !!

Fantastic cookies - I followed the recipe exactly, I just used my own vanilla bean cream cheese frosting because I had some left over from a cake. My kids loved them, perfect consistency and taste! Will make them again!

French Toast Casserole

Very good and easy to make. I made it just like the recipe called (only used Almond Milk instead of reg. milk). I made it the night before because I didn't want to rush in the morning, but it was perfect. Not too sweet, my boys loved it! I will definitely make it again!

Brown Family's Favorite Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
I made this pie for Thanksgiving instead of my traditional pumpkin pie and everyone enjoyed it. I was very happy with it, but really I like anything with pumpkin in it so I knew I would like it. I followed the recipe exactly and I love the consistency of the pie and it wasn't too sweet, the topping was perfect. It's a very pretty pie, looks wonderful. I will make it again, thanks for the recipe!

So good and so simple, I followed it exactly and it was perfect. I made it in my dutch oven and it was done in an hour in 15 min on medium heat. I might try carrots and celery next time just to see the difference in taste, but it's a keeper, great recipe!

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
These cookies were fantastic! I made them for work and the loved them - said they were the best Peanut Butter cookies they've had. My 4 year old loved them as well. I did add about a teaspoon of vanilla and made the batter to use the next morning so it cooled in the frig overnight. So easy - I'll make these over and over again.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2006
Great recipe! I made this for a New Years Party and it was a big hit!! I used a whole package of cream cheese instead of half (by mistake) and it was really creamy. I also used minced garlic - I didn't roast it I just used it out of the jar and it was perfect. 30 min was not enough in the oven, I baked it for about 40 and then put it on broil for about 4 min to brown the top, also stirred it before browning the top. Very easy to make and very good! This recipe is a keeper!!

BBQ Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2003
I made this quick and easy recipe for a New Year's Party and it was great! It was super easy and everyone liked it. I doubled the recipe and used two types of bbq sauce - one original KC masterpiece and one KC Masterpiece with hickory brown sugar and the flavor was really good, not overwhelming at all. I will make this one again, thanks for sharing!

Cake Mix Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2002
I made these cookies for a work pot-luck - and they were great! Very fast and easy. I used chocolate cake mix and they were very tasty. The only thing I noticed was the batter was hard to mix, and the chocolote chips really didn't incorporate with the batter too well - they just fell out. I found it easier to work the dough with my hands and make little balls of dough on the cookie sheet. There were chips left in the mixing bowl, about 10 or 15 of them - maybe I will reduce the amount of chips next time. But much to my surprise, the cookies came out just right! I baked them for 10 min. and they were soft in the middle and nice and fluffy! I will save this recipe and certainly make it again - thanks for sharing.

Easy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2006
I've always made boxed pancakes, but not anymore. I love this recipes, I've made it every weekend for the past month. My husband and toddler son love it too. I will try and add vanilla (like others suggested) but it's fine without as well. I have reduced the baking powder - just to see how they turned out and they were fine either way! Thanks for sharing!!
