Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2011
These were so delicious!! I used creamy peanut butter and did not add any chocolate chips, and they turned out so moist and yummy! I also used vegetable oil instead of canola. Def one of my favorite cookies yet! I followed someone else's advice and rolled the dough into balls and left them that way in the oven. I made them a bit bigger and the recipe made about a dozen large, thick moist cookies. I did cook them a couple minutes longer because of the thickness. Amazing turn out. A keeper!

Spaghetti Casserole I

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2011
This recipe wasn't bad. I followed the recipe listed but I want to try the Italian version. I think this would be much more enjoyable as a baked spaghetti dish.

Barbecue Beef Patties

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2011
This was a great and simple recipe for burgers! I accidentally added in the whole 1/2 cup of bbq sauce while mixing the ground beef, and topped the patties with a light coating and they tasted delicious! I also added in minced onion and topped with shredded cheese. The burgers were moist and tasted better than done on the grill! Will def make again!

Jumbo Breakfast Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
These were great! I did make a couple of changes and followed another reviewer's suggestion of halving the recipe. They still turned out pretty big and made a little over 2 dozen! I did not use peanut butter, but added about a tablespoon of maple syrup. I used 1/3 cup oats and 1/3 cup crushed up honey nut cheerios. I also sprinkled the tops with a cinnamon/sugar mixture before baking. They turned out very tasty. Next time I am going to add rice crispies and choc chips.

Pork Chops in Beer

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
This one deserves 5 stars for the taste and simplicity! It was great! I used thinly sliced chops and baked them for 45 minutes instead of the hour it says. I also added a bit of mustard to the sauce. The only thing I didn't like was that the sauce was really watery and would have preferred it more carmelized, but the taste was amazing and it went great over rice! Next time I will add a tad more brown sugar and less beer. Great recipe. It's a keeper!

Elaine's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
I used two cups of peanut butter to add more flavor, and the taste was good. The recipe was also very easy, however, it was not the best ever. The cookies came out looking wonderful, but even completely cooled they just fell apart in your hands. I ended up with half the batch in pieces and crumbs.

Breakfast Casserole III

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
This was great! It was very simple to make and very tasty. I did make a few changes. To suit my family's taste, I used frozen tator tots instead of potatoes and fried them together with broccoli, mushrooms, minced onion, and 1 tablespoon of garlic salt. However, I think it would have tasted better without any seasoning. I added light salt and pepper on top as instructed and that was good. All in all, it was like a giant omelette. Delicious!

German Pancakes II

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2011
I thought this was a quick and easy alternative to normal breakfast. I followed another reviewer's suggestion and added some cinnamon, sugar and vanilla extract as well as mashed banana. It was a winner! The only thing I would do next time is double the batch to make the batter thicker. It comes out very thin in a 9x13 dish. I think adding apple instead of banana would also make it very delicious.

Mayonnaise Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2011
These were amazing! I have to admit, while making them I was skeptical, but I was very happy with the final result. The dough was sticky, however and so instead of forming into balls, I spoon dropped the dough onto the cookie sheet. I did not press them with a fork and they came out semi-flat, but had a fluffy texture. I also sprinkled a sugar and cinnamon mixture on top of the balls before putting them in the oven. 10 minutes on 350 and they were perfect! Will def make again! The whole prep and cook time was only about 30 minutes!

Easy Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2011
This was a really good recipe. I used the French dressing and bread crumbs instead of cornflakes. I also mixed in parmesean cheese into the bread crumbs. Cooking for 30 minutes on 400 degrees made the chicken perfectly tender and moist! My only complaint is that the french dressing just wasn't what I was in the mood for. However, I am definitely going to make this again but with a different dressing! It was so simple!

S.O.B. (South of the Border) Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2011
This recipe is amazing! My husband has insisted that I make this at least once a week from now on, and I agree with him. It was easy to make and delicious. However, I didn't use tortilla chips..I will try that next time. By itself though it was a great one dish dinner!

Turkey Skillet Supper

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2011
I thought this dish was easy and tasty! I used minced onions and just one can of stewed tomatoes. The chili powder added a great flavor. I also topped with shredded cheese instead of sour cream..though I think adding sour cream would have been even better!
