About this Cook
I'm 22 years old and have been married for two years. I have a beautiful one year old daughter and a son on the way. I currently live in Texas with my family and am a stay at home mom. I get bored easily and joined the site in order to expand my cooking horizons! I'm looking forward to sharing recipes and learning some new ones as well.
My favorite things to cook
New things that taste great! I love surprising my husband with new dishes. So far I love cooking casseroles and baking desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom's thanksgiving recipes! I love her sweet potato casserole and pumpkin spice bread.
My cooking triumphs
So far I have conquered a few mexican casseroles, pasta dishes, and brownies!
My cooking tragedies
Homemade chicken stips and chocolate chip cookies from scratch.

Spaghetti Casserole I
This recipe wasn't bad. I followed the recipe listed but I want to try the Italian version. I think this would be much more enjoyable as a baked spaghetti dish.

Jumbo Breakfast Cookies
These were great! I did make a couple of changes and followed another reviewer's suggestion of halving the recipe. They still turned out pretty big and made a little over 2 dozen! I did not use peanut butter, but added about a tablespoon of maple syrup. I used 1/3 cup oats and 1/3 cup crushed up honey nut cheerios. I also sprinkled the tops with a cinnamon/sugar mixture before baking. They turned out very tasty. Next time I am going to add rice crispies and choc chips.

Pork Chops in Beer
This one deserves 5 stars for the taste and simplicity! It was great! I used thinly sliced chops and baked them for 45 minutes instead of the hour it says. I also added a bit of mustard to the sauce. The only thing I didn't like was that the sauce was really watery and would have preferred it more carmelized, but the taste was amazing and it went great over rice! Next time I will add a tad more brown sugar and less beer. Great recipe. It's a keeper!
