Broccoli Barley Saute

I read the other reviews and added more veggies and used sesame oil to add asian flare, but this recipe really lacks seasoning. I added some spicy asian sauce, but it was still too bland for my family.

Clark's Quiche

Clark makes a great quiche! After reading several reviews about the filling not fitting into the pie pan, I used a 9" round cake pan instead. This held the ingredients nicely. I also doubled the bacon because I didn't have any ham, used fresh spinach that I cooked down, green onions, and substituted 1/4 cup of mayonnaise for the sour cream because I did not have any (after seeing it in several other quiche recipes). I followed the advice of another review and pre-cooked the crust for 10 minutes to prevent it from getting soggy, and it turned out perfectly. My only regret is that I halved the recipe and only made one quiche!!

Fluffy Pancakes

Throw the bisquick in the trash can, this takes 5 minutes to whip together and it's delicious! I use this recipe every time I make pancakes! It is simple and it turns out great every time. I even play with it sometimes to make it healthier by adding oatmeal, whole wheat, etc. This is a great recipe to have in every kitchen.

Fantastic French Toast

Tried this one morning for a change. It was delicious! I used sourdough bread and I only used half of the peanut butter it called for. I tried to cut back on the calories a bit by using light syrup and natural peanut butter. The peanut butter/syrup mixture reminded me of a glaze you would see on a donut! It was sinful! I will make this again on special occasions!

Fresh Tomato Salsa

I love this salsa! I read several reviews and decided to add 2 cloves of garlic to the recipe. I did not have any serrano chiles so I substituted them for jalapeno peppers (2) . It turned out to be fairly mild but still delicious.
