Cola Onion Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2007
I love the simplicity of this recipe! I was a little concerned while it was baking as I read others reviews that it smelled "weird". It did have a weird smell while baking, not bad, just different. It was very good though! There was no left overs at my house! I'll absolutely make this again.

Missy's Lasagna

Wonderful recipe!!! I normally don't use cottage cheese in lasagna but wanted to try something different. I ended up getting company when I made this and was asked for the recipe. Thanks for this post!

Yummy Pikelets

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2006
Mine didn't look like the picture, which looks kinda like a filled doughnut, but they were oh so good. Mine looked more like silver dollar pancakes. I was really surprised at how much flavor these had with all the more ingredients. I made two batches in the time it would have taken to make one batch of my hubby's pancakes. I think they are lighter than pancakes so in that I differ from other reviewers. This is a definite keeper. Quick and easy homestyle breakfast that can be whipped up in a snap! Thanks so much!

Raisin-Filled Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
WOW! So good! These are melt in your mouth awesome! I only made the changes I had to for lack of supplies...used regular milk and increased by 2 tbsp because I didn't have any vanilla. I used 2 cups of wheat flour and 3 cups of white flour. I used two cups of raisins also.

Ginger Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2006
This had good flavor, but was extremely hot for the kids. Would pair good with a baked potato to tone down the heat. Also would be good to add this cooked steak on top of a salad or with some veggies for a quick stir fry.

Bev's Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2008
This is a great recipe! Ready in under 15 minutes and I'm sure healthier than a boxed kind. I didn't microwave again for 4-5 minutes because mine was already smooth and steaming hot.

Cinnamon Sweet Potato Slices

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2006
Nice easy side dish! I will make again, but will add a lot more butter! They were pretty good following the orginal directions, but definitely needed more butter but my potatoes may have been bigger than what the recipe called for, they seemed larger than medium to me. Thanks so much!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Granola Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2006
My husband and I loved this recipe! Mine did not stay packed together like I had hoped and I even added some honey trying to get them to stick. My 5 and 2 year olds were not crazy about it at all though. I didn't have any chocolate chips so that was omitted. Great recipe that I will make again! Thanks!

Banana Custard Scrunch

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2006
Loved this recipe! I made this for my kid's for breakfast and they sat down (very quietly!) and ate almost their entire cup. I used vanilla yogurt and only 1 very large banana. I will probably add more oatmeal next time just for personal preference. I need bigger glasses to serve this to adults, I used custard cups and they just weren't big enough to hold many bananas for my husband and I, but made in smaller portions, were perfect for the kids. Thanks a lot for a yummy and very easy recipe!

Wild Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2006
I cooked this recipe at 350 for an hour and it wasn't near done so I turned up the heat to 450 and still had to cook another hour. The veggies were overdone of course, but the rice was still not quite done and there was lots of liquid sitting on top. I let the entire casserole sit in the oven for another 40 minutes and the rice finally plumped up. The flavor was so/so. I doubt I'll make this again.

Classy Pumpkin Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2006
I thought this was ok. I added a can of diced tomatoes because I knew my 5 year old would turn his nose up if it didn't look more like spaghetti. I also used canned pumpkin puree because I was searching for recipes to use a spare can I had in my pantry. I might make this again, but will doctor it up to fit our tastes.

Broccoli Lasagna

Awesome alternative to traditional lasagna!!! I made some minor changes to lower the fat and calories. I omitted the butter and instead add garlic and onion powder to the white sauce. This is a definite keeper!

Old Fashioned Chicken Pot Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2007
I had to adjust this recipe because I didn't realize it was not meant for a deep dish pan...my mistake! I added 2 more cans of veggies and a can of cream of chicken. Very good. Next time I'll double this recipe to fill my deep dish pie plate.

Wonderful! I used chocolate cool whip and chocolate pudding mix. Made sort of a mousse-like frosting. My husband said he could eat a dish of it like a dessert!
