Broccoli Beef I

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2006
Really good. I added a little red pepper flakes to heat up the flavor. My sauce didn't thicken quite enough so I added a little more flour. I probably should have waited because I think it was just my impatience as the sauce ended up being too thick. Great recipe! Thank you for the post! I will definitely make this again!

Wild Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2006
I cooked this recipe at 350 for an hour and it wasn't near done so I turned up the heat to 450 and still had to cook another hour. The veggies were overdone of course, but the rice was still not quite done and there was lots of liquid sitting on top. I let the entire casserole sit in the oven for another 40 minutes and the rice finally plumped up. The flavor was so/so. I doubt I'll make this again.

Taco Bake I

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2006
Very good! I used cheddar instead of montery jack because I had it on hand. We used tortilla chips and wheat thins on the side. My two year old loved it too! Great recipe! Thank you for posting!

Baked Oatmeal II

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2006
If I could give this a 10 I would!!!! Excellent, superb, irresistable! I used chopped apples and raisins instead of cranberries just because I didn't have cranberries at home. Except for that, I didn't change a thing. I live in Pennsylvania Amish country (2 miles from Smicksburg) and was a little doubtful when I read the description, but my my, this is definitely a Pennsylvania Amish taste. I read a review that compared it to tasting like oatmeal cookies and milk, I agree! I think I'll add this one to my Christmas breakfast menu!!! Thank you for the wonderful post!

Spinach Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2006
I agree that this is a good "base" for spinach pancakes. I made some changes to this recipe, first I increased the eggs to 6 and increased the flour to 3/4 cup because when I mixed according to these directions, it seemed way too much spinach for the amount of eggs. I would definitely add cheddar the next time and maybe a few tablespoons of diced tomatoes. This was good fix for a fried craving, but I think it may have a better texture if it were baked. I was hoping that the thought and appearance of pancakes would persuade my picky 5 year old to try it, but I ended up mixing up a batch of real pancakes anyhow. I'll make this again, just with my changes.

All Day Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2005
Found this recipe while I was searching for easy crock-pot recipes. This recipe was so easy to prepare. When I served it, it looked terrible and tasted worse. Very bland. Mushy macaroni with nothing similar to cheese sauce.
