Oh my sooo good! A little spicy for the kids, but that can be adjusted if need be.

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2006
This is the recipe on the back of the Hershey's cocoa powder. It does get 5 stars but it's a company's published recipe.

Cool Whipped Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2006
Wonderful! I used chocolate cool whip and chocolate pudding mix. Made sort of a mousse-like frosting. My husband said he could eat a dish of it like a dessert!

Ham and Pineapple Kabobs

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2006
The only thing I should have changed about this recipe is the serving size....I should have made A LOT more!!! Wow! This is wonderful!!! My picky 5 year old thought putting together his own skewer was lots of fun and even ate two skewers!! I think we'll be making and eating these often!

Baked Potato Soup II

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2006
This recipe is very good as written! I added a few things for our own preferences. I microwaved cubed potatoes and chopped medium onion together for about 6-8 minutes. I added a good spoonful of jarred chopped garlic to this. I added 4 or 5 slices of american cheese and roughly one cup of mozzarella cheese. Bacon would have been really good also, but I didn't want to take the extra time. All in all this was excellent! Will definitely make again.

Amazingly easy to make and very, very good. This is a keeper for those last minute "bring a covered dish" ideas. Thanks so much for the submit!

Cheryl's Spinach Cheesy Pasta Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2006
I thought this recipe was superb! I only used about 1/2 the cheese the recipe called for and only 1 full jar of meat flavored sauce. It didn't hide the spinach enough for my 5 year old to eat it, but he ate "around" the spinach anyhow. Instead of mixing the bread crumbs into the pasta mixture, I spinkled 1/2 on between layers. This dish makes a pretty presentation also! Thanks for submitting it!

Classy Pumpkin Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2006
I thought this was ok. I added a can of diced tomatoes because I knew my 5 year old would turn his nose up if it didn't look more like spaghetti. I also used canned pumpkin puree because I was searching for recipes to use a spare can I had in my pantry. I might make this again, but will doctor it up to fit our tastes.

Creme Brulee French Toast

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2006
Wonderful flavor. Has a definite flavor of creme brulee. No need to add anything else to this dish except maybe some strawberries on the side. This also feeds more than expected. Definitely will be making again. Maybe will try cubing french bread instead of using slices. Thanks for a great post!

I don't like to make fried food at home, but these were really good! We used a dark English beer. Excellent! Will make again for sure! Thanks a lot!

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2006
Wonderful. Not quite Red Lobster's, these are a little drier. I think some garlic powder in the biscuit themselves would be good. Thanks a lot. A definite keeper!

This was good, but I was looking for something along the KFC line. Just seemed like it was missing something but I couldn't quite figure it out? Thanks anyhow!

Good way to use zucchini. I liked it but my husband and kids didn't so much so I won't make it again. Thanks for the post.

Yummy Pikelets

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2006
Mine didn't look like the picture, which looks kinda like a filled doughnut, but they were oh so good. Mine looked more like silver dollar pancakes. I was really surprised at how much flavor these had with all the more ingredients. I made two batches in the time it would have taken to make one batch of my hubby's pancakes. I think they are lighter than pancakes so in that I differ from other reviewers. This is a definite keeper. Quick and easy homestyle breakfast that can be whipped up in a snap! Thanks so much!

Indonesian Pork Satay

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2006
Really good. My kids wouldn't touch it, but the adults loved it. I didn't realize until mid-afternoon that this was to be marinated (I'm terrible at prep in advance!) so I cheated and baked the pork in the marinade. It turned out really good despite my lack of reading the instructions! Next time, we'll grill it and follow the recipe! Thanks so much!
