Buttermilk Pancakes II

These are really good! I would give it 4.5 stars if possible. Taste like restaurant pancakes! The buttermilk is a must, it cannot be substituted for milk + Vinegar. The right texture can only be attained from the real thing. Use unsalted butter or cut the salt from the main recipe. And no maple syrup tastes as good as the real thing in my opinion but thats up to you....also would be good with a fruit syrup.Watch them close because they can burn very fast because of the sugar in the batter.

Cherry Limeade I

I halfed the recipe, and I used the minute maid limeade and it was awesome! Great way to use up all the opened pop bottles after new years, I had some half flat sprite and it worked great. I added half the jar of cherry juice but I threw the cherries in too!

Chicken Fried Chicken

It was O.K. It was sorta bland....it needs more flavor, or maybe some kind of gravy. Be careful too cause to potato flakes BURN very fast...Im not sure If I will make this again...

Honey Mustard Salad Dressing

This dressing is pretty good....It needs A LOT more mustard. Otherwise, it just tastes like mayo! I suggest about 1-2 T or more of mustard....I too used a mix of dijon and yellow french's mustard ( it gives it a bright yellow color). I also added more honey/sugar like other viewers suggested. It is very runny, so you dont need to use that much on a salad. I also squeezed in a hint of lemon juice. I might make this again, it needs more tweeksing but still a good dressing overall!

Apple Muffins

these were O.K... THey lack texture and flavor....I had to triple the cinnamon just to give it a flavor worth eating. Also, the muffins stick BAD to the muffin tins and the liners. This could be better with alittle work

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

This was a VERY good recipe. THe cookies were soft and moist. I added double the cinnamon and alittle nutmeg for extra kick. These really are good oatmeal cookies. They are also PACKED with raisins!! MMMMMMM (If u hate raisins you will want to omite them or reduce the number) GOOD RECIPE Beth!!!

Three Olive Spread

This is SOOOOO good. People ask me all the time "what is this"?! I don't use kalamata olives because usaully I forget so 1 use one can of black olives and one jar of spanish olives. I also suggest on uping the oil and garlic(I love garlic) I also added some black pepper, it gave it a nice kick. a GREAT party spread so quick and easy

Sugar Cookies X

This was pretty good.....The flavor is a little dull, and thats after i doubled the vanilla mind you. You really do have to add all the oil, i have no idea why people are saying that u should decrease it! This recipe was just a tad of a letdown....I MAY try it again, but if I did I would top it with frosting or add almond extract to the batter....so in actuality i would give it a 3.5-4 Stars

Apple Strudel Muffins

This was a good recipe!!! Next time will add more apples but it was still good. You HAVE to add the cinnamon and nutmeg as recommended by another reviewer (1 t cinnamon 1/2 t nutmeg and I added a shake of ground cloves and allspice). It also came out dry so i had to add another 1/4 cup of water to the batter. The topping is way too wet, I ended up adding some more flour to make it thicker. These were the only changes! This is a GREAT autum muffin recipe, to wake up and have this muffin with your coffee, nothing better! YOu can add just about anything to this...and VERY moist YUM!

Caroline's Chocolate Fudge Frosting

I did not find this sweet at all, there is no way you can use unsweetened chocolate in this recipe. I followed other people's advice by cutting down the milk (you MUST do this)I also used unsalted butter, and I still had to add more sugar, to make it sweeter and thicker. The frosting was not as good as I expected. I would make it again with semisweet chocolate, but we will see.

Chocolate Chip Muffins

these are good. You really need to up the sugar to 3/4-1c, milk to 1=1/4, and oil to 1/2 cup and add vanilla. I really dont think it needs THAT much chocolate so 3/4 is just right, they come out moist and tasty

Jalapeno Chicken II

I thought this was an AWESOME recipe! I fine tuned it using all the reviews and I think I made it perfect! First, I did grill the peppers before I put them in the chicken and I stuffed them with chedder cheese, I despise cream cheese. Also, I made homeade italian dressing (the kind that comes in the seasoning packet that you mix with oil and vinegar) that gave it a very robust flavor. Then when I marinated it I threw in some fresh diced garlic, basil and parsly. It gave it A LOT of flavor. The bacon is a must, it adds a nice flavor and really holds it together during cooking (the secret to keeping the chicken in one piece is to put the bundles of chicken packed TIGHT on a HOT grill and leave for 5 mins before turning, then lower the heat)I liked this a lot, I served it with corn and herb potatoes, definately a keeper!

Party Punch X

This is a GREAT punch, I have used it and eaten it since I was like 5. Although, I myself don't care for ginger ale. Trust me when I say this; lemon-lime pop is a much better choice. To this day, in the summer I drink nothing else but sierra mist and rasberry sherbet YUM!

Hot Orange Coffee Cake

This was good, it has a very nice flavor, but I like more cinnamon when working with orange. It does need work to make it better. DEFINATELY follow the last review about switching from 1/2 cup of melted butter to 1/4 cup melted butter and 1/4 cup oil, this is critical to making it better. I also added 1 tsp cinnamon not 1/2 t to the topping along with alittle zest from the orange. And to the batter, I added another 1/4 t and 1/4 t nutmeg, this makes the actual cake much more tasty.

Iced Tea II

I thought this was good. I like a strong tea with lemon and lots of sugar. If you like black coffee or tea, you may want to cut on the sugar but I had to increase it!

Gina's Lemon Pepper Chicken

I LOOOOOVE Chicken, I usually havent found a chicken I don't like. This looked good but was VERY bland and I even used real garlic! and it just had a very bizzare flavor. I also think there is too much onion. I won't be making this again.

French Dressing II

It was OK....not my idea of a "french dressing" that I know but still good on a salad. Came out very dark but sweet like french dressing. i added more onion and garlic...i MAY make this again
