Amazing...I'm trying to cook MORE healthy, so I changed out the white flour with 100% Whole Wheat flour...and I had NO allspice so used pumkin pie spice....and added one teaspoon or so of mixed pecan and walnuts chopped up on top of batter...I too added more vinagar and milk...We too found them hard to get done, but I wonder if the texter is just different with all the whole wheat flour...they were very fluffy, even with the WW flour...All I can say is they were amazing and I can't seem to think of anything else since I made them...MMM...they were a nice treat because we do no eat sweets anymore...Felt like we were cheating on our NO sweet diet..!!! I wish everyone would try them!!!
