This is yummy! I made the filling to use up a leftover pie crust that I had.

Peppermint Patties

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2015
These are good, I made them for St. Valentine's day for my husband. They are very yummy, but next time I'll make them smaller than my smallest cookie scoop. These are very soft and difficult to dip in the chocolate, but worth the effort. I froze mine over night before I dipped them, but it didn't greatly help.

Colored Sugar

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2014
I used 1/3 cup of sugar and gel food coloring (without diluting it with water) for all except the blue (didn't have blue gel, had to use liquid). Bit as consistent as store bought, but very good. I let mine set out over night, then strained the chunks through a fine mesh strainer. (I put the left over chunks in my son's coffee sugar container) I think it will look fine on my dipped pretzels, cookies and crackers. Thanks for the recipe! :)

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2014
This is good, but it took more than 4 hours to cool. I had to stick it in the fridge overnight to cool completely. So make ahead. I didn't. It's a very sticky mix, so be mindful. Good luck!

Black Bean Hummus

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2014
This tastes much better than I thought it would! Thank you for helping me use up some homemade black beans. I also used lime juice, not lemon, because that's what I had on hand. And I used the recipe from AR and made homemade tahini for this. Turned out yummy!

Tahini

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2014
This is bitter, but fills the need for tahini in hummus. Can't find tahini here in my part if Tenneessee. It does take a while to blend it up. I made a half of this recipe (1/2 cup of sesame seeds) but ended up using almost a 1/4 cup of oil to get it to blend up to the right consistency. Thanks for helping me to make the black bean hummus from AR. I really needed to use up done black beans! Thanks again! :)

Slow Cooker Creamed Corn

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2014
Made this today for a church potluck. Was well received and several asked for recipe. I was only left with a spoonful. The only changes I used was to 1/2 the amount of butter, used 2cups of fresh corn and a bag of thawed frozen corn and added garlic salt. I also warmed the room temp butter and cream cheese on the stove with the milk. Mine only took about 3 hours. Try it, it really is good. I took a picture of the empty crockpot to prove it!

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2014
Yummy! We made this to make a dessert pizza. I added and extra teaspoon of sugar to the dough and used all purpose flour. Turn out great! Will make again for regular savory pizza. It definitely was quick and easy!

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2014
We make this all the time. The only differences I make are to add a couple of tablespoons of molasses to the corn syrup and I add about 2 cups is peanuts to the popcorn. This makes it taste just like cracker jacks! My whole family loves it! I make it all the time for family get togethers. It's so good. Make it, see for yourself!! :)

Easy and quite yummy. Didn't use green onions, we don't like them, but otherwise made as written. We make it with bacon fried rice. Always yummy! :)

Sourdough Bread I

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2013
The starter is great (use Becky's) and follow the recipe. Easy to make and tastes great. At first the bread is very spongy and doesn't taste much like sour dough (it's a very sticky dough too). But it improves emencely as the starter is fed and ages. My guys really like it, give it a try! Thanks Becky! :)

Irish Pound Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2013
This recipe was wonderful!! I made it for a Saint Patrick's Day party and everyone complimented me and loved it! I did however change the jigger of Irish whiskey to a jigger of Amaretto to the cake batter and I served it with a powdered sugar and milk glaze that I added almond extract to. Very yummy!!! :-)
