Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

These were easy and yummy! A little flat, so tasted great - loved the crispy edges. Make sure to have them in no longer then 10 min!

Buttery Corn Bread

This was pretty good - didn't disappoint, though not as good as I've had. A little crumbly when you try to cut them 5 minutes out of the oven, so I'd wait more like 10 - 15.

Mall Pretzels

These are so yummy! So much more cost efficient to make then to pay like $3 at the mall for one. The dough can be tricky to roll out, so mine weren't the prettiest, but who cares when they taste so good! Made these for valentine's day in heart shapes! I will definitely be keeping this as my main pretzel recipe.

Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting

I did as others suggested: half butter and half shortening, which was perfect. The consistency is great as well is the taste. A little sweet for me - but isn't all buttercream like that? :)

Soft Breadsticks

I LOVED how quick and easy this recipe was. So so easy. The dough does get very sticky and frustrating, but don't be afraid to use more flour as you knead it a little on the counter. Just be really careful to not add too much flour or you will have tough breadsticks. I cooked them for about 11 min at 425 and I think I should have only had them in there 8-10 min so that the bottoms didn't brown as much. Absolutely worth a try to make! Oh, and I dipped them in home made alfredo sauce - yum!

Veggie Stir-Fry

Just made this last night. The awesome thing about stir fry is you can make it anyway you want - with varying veggies. I used green and red bell peppers, broccoli, onions, and snap peas (and forgot to add carrots). The sauce really was too much, so I didn't add all of it. I wasn't super impressed with the sauce, but it was easy and the flavor was good enough. I may try it next time with ginger and red pepper flakes as suggested by other members.

Sloppy Joes II

Is it silly that sloppy joes are my 2nd favorite dish to lasagna? I just love them, and this recipe was very good and one I will be sticking with. I love how easy it is. I recommend using very lean meat (80% lean is the best!) and also very important if you like saucy sloppy joes: DOUBLE THIS SAUCE. It would be WAY too dry if it was not doubled in my opinion.

Pistachio Cream Pie

Key Lime Pie VII

The Flavor was phenomenal - wonderful key lime flavor. And the best part was that this recipe was SO EASY. However, I only gave 4 stars, because the pie wasn't as firm as I hoped...it wasn't soupy, but it just didn't hold together well. maybe I will ad a little less sour cream next time. Anyhow, great recipe - give it a shot!

Heavenly Angel Food Cake

This was pretty good..I think I actually like the betty crocker box mix better...just because it is more fluffy and sugary then this one. I have had a hard time finding a light angel food cake recipe. However, for a homemade recipe, this one was great. The flavor was good, but in my opinion, must have strawberries to go with it!!

Apple Strudel Muffins

These are delicious - especially the batter! I only give it four stars though because the cake part could have been a little more flavorful, but with the apples it's still really good. I doubled the amount of apples and graded half of then and chopped half too.

Coconut Syrup

This is sooo dang good!!!! I use unsweetened coconut and it is plenty sweet. Or I'm sure using half sweetened and half unsweeted would be great too. I have quiet the sweet tooth though and using the unsweeted is plenty sweet!

White Chip Chocolate Cookies

THESE ARE SOOOO GOOD!!! I followed another reviewer's advice and added 2 1/4 cup flour instead of just 2 cups. and then added 2/3 cup brown sugar and 2/3 cup white sugar. She also said to add a full 1 tsp. of salt but they had a tad bit too much salt in so the next time I just did 1/2 tsp. salt and they were perfect. They are SOO good I can't even tell you - you just have to make them! I love putting a scoop of vanilla ice cream on! I've made this recipe 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Also make sure you keep an eye on them - you can't tell when they're really done since they stay very well formed when they're baking, so take them out when they are a little mushy and they will be soft!

I thought these were fantastic - however I was hoping for a little more flavor (they are still none the less great). My favorite thing about this recipe is that they stay sooo moist and yummy! even after a few days!

Luscious Buttercream Frosting

This was very good I work in a bakery that used buttercream frosting and this is VERY similar to their buttercream. - what I loved about it the most was that it only called for 1/2 cup butter! So many buttercreams call for margarine or shortening - yuck! and has great flavor - not overbearing sweet and very nice consistency - you can just add more powedered sugar to stiffen it or add more milk to make it creamier. Very good and easy to make.

Butter Cookies II

I was trying to find a real nice buttery cookie - but these weren't as buttery as I would like - though they are still good. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT OVER BAKE! I kept putting them back in the oven because they looked like they weren't baked enough because they didn't really brown. So the key is to only bake about 5-6 minutes when still soft and then take out and cool - as they cool they get firmer. I used "lucious buttercream" to sandwich in between two buttercookies and then dipped half in chocolate. Yummy! Main thing is do not overbake or will be too hard!

Fresh Pumpkin Pie

This was good - I would highly recommend doubling the spices like the other reviews said. It gave is such a nice spice smell and flavor. I also added 1/2 tsp. vanilla. What's nice about this pie is that is is fresh and it is firm and tastes good with all the spices. I use the basic flakey pie crust recipe for all my pies - GREAT CRUST recipe. Made up fresh whipped cream and decorated top of pie to finish it. also I used a 9 in. pie plate and still had a little extra pumpkin filling left which can be used to make a mini pie.
