Five Minute Ice Cream

go, make this for your children. I used 10 oz of blueberries, 1/4 C sugar and I used full fat coconut milk (from a can), which I eyeballed. I wanted it to be spoonable out of the food processer. I am eating it with a spoon now, but it is much softer than soft serve. My picky 7 year old has refused it until it is hard. Even after going through the FP, there are little tiny nuggets of frozen coconut milk/fat that melt on your tongue. yummy.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

I have made this cornbread a gazillion times and it turns out perfect everytime. I'll take it to functions and people rave. This cornbread has sugar in it "OH NO"!!!! That being said, I almost always cut the sugar in half in ALL my recipes. Thats just the way we roll. Our tastebuds have adjusted. Also, I start checking my baked goods at the FIRST given time, in this case it is 30-40 minutes. So I started checking for doneness at 30 minutes. If you wait until 40 minutes, you might just have dry cornbread. And to those of you claiming this doesn't taste enough like corn, I randomly viewed 5 other cornbread recipes on this site. They all either had equal portions of cornmeal to flour or less cornmeal to flour. Perhaps you haven't eaten a lot of cornbread and expected something different. Perhaps you used a white cornmeal. I too make it all in one bowl. I nuke the butter in the microwave in a big batter bowl and then add everything to it.

Butter Rich Spritz Butter Cookies

This was my first try at spritz cookies. I didn't have any powdered sugar on hand, so I subbed per a different recipe 1C of granulated sugar. I also used 1 whole egg instead of 2 yolks. The dough extruded beautifully out of my press. The taste buttery and delicious. I detected no afore mentioned "aftertaste".

Cream Soup Base

This is the base I use for all my cream soups. I always use 4 C of skim milk for my favorite thickness. I add: 1-2 lbs of cut boiled potatoes and corn 1 lb of cooked frozen broccoli 1 lb of frozen chopped spinach 1 (28oz) can of diced tomatoes (simmered)

This pasta was yummy. - I browned the chicken pieces a bit first before adding broth. - I added minced garlic - I used a drained 14oz can of petite diced tomato instead of fresh

Pumpkin Sheet Cake

Oh my gosh was this excellent. I am a huge pumpkin fan though. Cut the oil back 1/4 cup. Baked in my 1x10x15 PC bar stoneware.

Bourbon Chicken

Excellent chicken! Changes: chunked chicken, used 1/4 C Jack Daniels, marinated 12 hrs, broiled chicken and marinade in 9 x 13 until no longer pink. If you enjoyed this, try Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs.

Buttermilk Pancakes I

Delicious. I'll never use baking mix again for pancakes. Great way to use up buttermilk. I put all ingredients in a big glass measuring cup and blended with a stick blender, and poured onto griddle.
