Chicken, Cheese, and Biscuits

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2005
Absolutely Perfect! I didn't have refrigerated biscuits, so I made the Bisquick biscuit recipe and spread that on top. Perfect the first day, or re-heated days later. (Biscuit mix doesn't go soggy.) *Also, I boiled the chicken breasts for the most tender/moist chicken. A keeper for generations to come!

Cream Cheese Penguins

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2002
I made these for an informal wedding I was catering. I just couldn't resist trying it, and didn't want to wait until next winter to use it. I had to keep making them, because people who saw them beforehand just had to try them. I used a star tip on my pastry bag to fill these and worked great. Time consuming...but be patient they are worth it. Also, make them about 2 hours before serving, then chill. The carrots dry up fast. Too cute and loved by all!

Dinah's Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2002
I had never made or had stuffed mushrooms in my life until now. GREAT RECIPE!! I catered a wedding and was complimented all night. People even asked for the recipe. I followed another review and added Italian seasoned breadcrumbs and cut the Italian seasoning in half. Perfect! I also made the mixture the night before, which made the seasoning blend perfectly. It was a bit time consuming, but a food processor would cut the prep time in half. (For those of you hunting...I found cans of chopped clams with the tuna fish cans in the grocery store.) Enjoy!

Chocolate Covered Cherries II

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2002
I had a lot of trouble working with these. STICKY! Everyone loved them...but I found them to be way too sweet!! A different recipe for the chocolate coating would help also, because the chocolate on it melted when left out for more than 5 minutes. Not pretty:(

Spinach and Mushroom Pinwheels

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2002
I have finally solved the "too bland" problem for this recipe. I mixed in 1/4 cup KRAFT PARM PLUS-ZESTY RED PEPPER (Parmesan cheese) to the dough mix. I also used a cheese cloth to squeeze the juices from the spinach. Perfect!! I made this for a party, and set out little recipe cards...and returned home with none. I am so impressed by this recipe! I do think that they taste best served warm. And I LOVE the fact that you can make these little beauties up to three months in advance, cut them up & bake them whenever. ENJOY!!

Super-Easy Rocky Road Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2002
Indeed-e-doo this was the easiest fudge to make. With all of the other party planning I had to do...this kept the sweet tooth’s quite happy, without me going crazy.

Luscious Slush Punch

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2002
PERFECT!! I only needed to use one frozen bag of mix & three 2-liters of soda for my party of 30. It took a while to thaw...so I would recommend pouring in the soda about thirty minutes before the party starts. I got lots of requests for the recipe. Definitely a keeper!!

Mini Cheesecakes I

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2002
Oh my goodness, are these ever delicious!! I made them for a party of fifty with ages ranging from 8-55. These were the easiest things to make! I loved the vanilla wafer crust. I also used a pastry bag to put the mixture into the little cups. Everyone was shocked that I went to such extremes on these. All night long I kept hearing, "cheesecakes...did you try those cheesecakes...those were the best cheesecakes...” I set out recipe cards on the table and only returned home with one. Thank you so much for this 5 star recipe!!

Party Pinwheels

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2002
Absolutely fantastic!! I made them for a party of fifty with ages ranging from 8-55. I was scared that nobody would eat them...but they were ooed and awed about all night. I made them with half the amount of ranch mix. I also used three different kinds of tortillas...MISSION spinach, sun dried tomatoes and zesty. It was such a beautiful way to display these little beauties! I am also happy to say that I ran out before the party was over (I doubled the recipe). Enjoy!!

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2002
It was alright. I made them with cut up chicken. The family ate it all, but didn't suggest that I ever make it again. I really like the recipe for the honey mustard...but when you cook it with chicken it looses it's flavor. I would still keep it as a dip and try to thicken it up.

Best Ever Cinnamon Pull Aparts

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2002
I made them with the kids...lots of fun! But, the recipe directions are way off. Less cinnamon & sugar. More butter. Less cooking time (thirty minutes). And a bigger pan. But all & all, a great easy recipe!!

Tortilla Rollups II

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2002
This was so quick and easy!! Everyone loved it. I used three different kinds of tortillas. i.e. MISSION sun dried tomato, spinach, and plain tortillas. A beautiful way to display this dish with colorful variety. (Just be sure to add a thin layer of mixture or the taste will be way too overpowering.) Enjoy!!
