Beef Asado

just wonderful! I added 1/2 cup wine, on suggestion from another reviewer. I also left the beef in when I put in the peppers. An amazing beef "stew" that would work with egg noodles or rice.

Pear Braised Pork Tenderloin

very good! All the kids and husband liked this. Some changes I made were: 2 TB. of grated onion to the mix, reduced the olive oil to 1/3 c. and I added whole pearl onions instead of chopped. Uncover for the last 10 min to reduce the sause a little for the table.

Dilly Chicken Breasts

These were really great. I used about 1/2 of a fresh onion, grated into the marinade. If you don't have 1/2 cup of lemon juice don't worry, you really don't need that much. I also added a clove of crushed garlic. Don't marinate for too long, remember, the lemon juice will break the chicken down.

Egg Noodles

These were great! They cooked for about 10 min. in my homemade chicken noodle soup. The dough is hard to roll out though. Just keep at it and you will be happy with the results.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Really good! It is very tender and tasty! I added chopped celery, garlic, onion, carrots, fresh sage and parsley to flavor a gravy at the end. Next time I'm going to add a thigh for dark meat. Superior leftovers!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

super easy and very tasty! I did everything the recipe said plus took the suggestions about the chicken broth. I had some Better Than Bouillon, Mushroom, and added a tablespoon. That really added some great flavor. Next time I will make my own dumplings because I didn't like the canned ones so much. It is really good over egg noodles!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

This was huge! Wonderful and easy! I used the French onion soup, Consomme and bud lite. I added 4 cloves of garlic, black pepper and worchestshire sauce as well. Next time I will add a 1/2 of an onion sliced thinly for topping the sandwiches. My husband had his sandwich with provalone and I had mine with horseradish cheddar. It is great with extra horseradish! The kids ate their whole sandwich!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Yes, wow, a great roasted chicken. I mean, I'm throwing out other recipes here! This will be my go-to from now on. I did add lemon rind to the cavity but only because I had one to get rid of. It added a nice scent to the kitchen besides the mouth-watering roasted chicken scent. I put a few cloves of garlic in the pan and took them out and added them to my mashed potatoes after about 1 hour of cooking. Oh yeah, I used butter not that fake stuff. Enjoy, we did!

Beer Cheese Fondue

This is excellent! You just have to keep at the stirring with a whisk and don't give up. It looked horrible for me but then it was all incorporated and creamy in the end. Great with blanched broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, apples and pears.

Asian Fire Meat

everyone loved this! The beef was not too spicy for the kids. I drained the beef mixture as one review suggested. I added about 1/2 cup of chicken broth to it because I was afraid it was too salty. I added one more T. of brown sugar too. I served it with a cabbage and bean sprout stir fry with togorashi. The cabbage side dish gave it more heat for the adults. Don't forget lots of white rice!

Pork Tenderloin with Dijon Marsala Sauce

This is the recipe that for the first time my kids asked to have the sauce on their plate! We all loved this so much. I added mushrooms and garlic, but that's all I did to the original recipe. Great dinner! I served it with rice and an artichoke.

OREO® Triple Layer Chocolate Pie

A big hit! I don't like desserts and I rarely make them. This one was easy and tasty. I used Trader Joe's "Jo-Jo" cookies instead of oreos (same type of cookie). It does take longer than 4 hours to chill until it is firm. I would say more like eight hours or put it in the freezer. Great dessert for kids!

Wine and Dijon Marinated Pork Loin

Very good. Mine took about 1 and 1/2 hours and I had the oven at 375. I followed the recipe exactly and since it s summertime I used all fresh herbs instead of dry. I best part was the next day; the meat was so good sliced cold on some garlic naan with veggies and tiziki. An awesome no-cook summer sandwich!

Bacon Chicken and Dumplings

Wonderful! The family loved it! I made some changes: 4 pieces of bacon instead of 3, 1 very large russet instead of 3, 4 cups of broth instead of 3, and 1/2cup of half and half and 3/4 cup of 2% milk instead of 3 cups half and half. I also used one whole corn on the cob; cutting off the kernals and scraping as much of the starch and adding that as well. And since it's summer and I have a bunch in the garden, a diced zucchini. My huband is not a fam of dumpllings so I boiled some egg noodles separately and add them to the bowl before ladeling over the "stew". Yummy.
