Carrot Souffle

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
Very yummy! Very easy. Didn't know if I should peel the carrots so I did. (I know some people don't) Think I will steam the carrots in the micro next time though. Should have thought of that first..Will make again, and I think I will try to make this for Thanksgiving. Seriously, getting sick of the same ol' stuff at Mom and Dads. Pushing 40 and don't have a tradition of my own to add to the holidays, this may just do it! Thanks!

Healthy Banana Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2011
Didn't really taste like anything..My 21 mo old daughter ate them, just fine. I did not care for them. Good for kids I guess. Probably will make again as they are easy and she ate a few of them so far. (like to give second chances) Just kind of tasteless for adults maybe. Like to make things that we both will enjoy eating. I am not one who needs lots of sugar or lots of seasonings and spices in my food to enjoy, sooo go figure. (I don't eat everything bland either! )

Turkey Veggie Meatloaf Cups

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2011
Pretty good! If you dont use the bbq sauce it is blandish. Not that blandish can be bad! Very nice and easy. My muffin tin looked yucky so I tossed it, and just spooned globs in a glass dish and that was fine. Put the sauce on half of the globs. Had alot leftover raw, so I divided it and put into freezer bags log style. Before I did though, I squirted some garlic paste in and added a decent amout of peppercorn blend and froze. Will use this recipe again! Think I over cooked them too, they were a little dry but yummy! Think this would be good for a party if you made little cakes or balls and put them in the bbq sauce after cooking. Thanks! Good recipe!

Country Apple Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2011
Very good, and I don't bake! Quite easy as well. I don't eat desserts very often so, I think I will not put as much sugar in it next time, and use more walnuts. Still very good. Daughter and company LOVED it as is!

Cola Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2011
Very Good! Sprinkled chops with McCormic Smokehouse Pepper,a little salt, patted it in well, and (make sure chops are DRY) dusted with Wondra flour, browned in (happened to have bacon drippings) and a little olive oil. Turned out great! I used thick cut chops and baked , at 325 (convection oven) for 1 1/2 hr in a glass baking dish. My husband and 2 yr old daughter loved it! Easy and good! Chops were very thick and they came out almost falling apart!

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
Yay!!! Found a tuna salad I really like! Very good. Made it for the secnd time today, and decided it is going to be my, go-to good sandwich or fork, for a quick lunch for my 2yr old daughter. (she just ate it without the bread today, and dogged it) Didn't use the onion flakes, since the bottle we have is at least 7 yrs old (ya,toss it) used a little onion powder instead. Was really leary about all the ingredients..but it rocked! Thanks! Oh..and there were no ill effects from the curry. ;)

Thanksgiving Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2011
Ok..been thinking about this recipe (adding on to my original review) and I think if you are having it for Thanksgiving it may be fine as is. Cranberries, potatoes, gravy etc,all the fixins' you may just want to leave it alone...may be just right. Thinking, if you are making it for a weeknight meal, spice it up. Really good for a base recipe. I normally do not complain about bland, but just needs something. I cut the recipe in half and maybe that is the problem also. I did put sauteed onion, garlic, salt, pepper and some poultry seasoning...just not enough. I made a turkey meatloaf years ago that had the whole cranberry sauce in it and that was excellent (long lost)..I think that would be good in this recipe..will try again as a base recipe. The more I think about It I am betting that when you cut the recipe in half you just don't get all the seasoning from the stuffing mix, and that could contribute to the lack of taste.

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2011
Easy and tasty! My 20 mo old daughter loved it! Really was afraid it would be too salty, but it wasn't..Did not really "tweak" it think I was just shy with the worcestershire since we don't eat much salt. (I never add salt when using soup etc) I think that people just feel the need to over season their food. it was a nice home-style meal that does not need extra herbs, spices or whatever..nice simple meal! A keeper! Thank you! We'll she is 5 now and still loves it! Double the sauce.

It was one of those days and I spaced the directions..ended up cooking the turkey and then throwing everything in the pot to simmer. Turned out super tasty! Used Mexican oregano and didn't put in the ground red pepper, still had a nice kick but was not spicey, spicey. Keeper! Will follow the directions next time. :)

Want to give it 5 stars for ease, and it is tasty but nothing to fall out of your chair over (sorry). I have made it 3 ways..recipe to a T and with both the consume and french onion soup and just the french onion soup..it is tasty all ways, and the husband liked it. Good NO FUSS recipe, and these are always good to have! Thanks for the recipe. It has saved me when I ran out of time, and couldn't figure out what to make for dinner!

Hawaiian Fruit Crumble

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
Will be making this for Thanksgiving! Very good and easy...I very rarely bake and I even screwed up the topping. I used room temp butter and it even though the topping didn't come out right, it was still yummy! I did put some coconut in the topping and it was good. Been raiding the fridge for it the last 2 nights! :)

Omelet in a Bag

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2012
It works! Didn't make the "omelet" with the ingredients as directed, just chopped some cauliflower and broccoli and threw it in with the eggs. Ingredients sound good.. think the whole idea of cooking in the bag is 5 stars..no butter and no mess..think this is the way to go! I do love eggs in butter though!
