Three Bean Salad II

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
Very easy and really good. Did make too much juice and I even added a large can of garbanzo beans. Next time I will cut back on the sugar and up the vinegar. This recipe would be difficult to mess up. It's a keeper!

Chocolate Cream Pie II

I READ ALL THE REVIEWS AND THOUGHT I WOULD TRY IT FOR CHRISTMAS. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE FLAVOR. I WAS EXPECTING IT TO TASTE BETTER THAN A MIX, BUT IT DIDN'T...EVEN WAS KIND OF GRAINY. I THINK I WILL TRY ANOTHER RECIPE THAT USES SOMETHING OTHER THAN COCOA. I DID INCREASE THE CORNSTARCH TO 4 TBSP AND IT SET UP NICELY.

Chocolate Trifle

This is a real attention-getter! I tried using real whipping cream for the layers, but I should have used two instead of only one. It didn't have the height that cool whip provides. I found it interesting that the pudding layer changed consistency and became whipped rather than blah when refrigerated for awhile. Next time I will try putting fruit between the layers...I bet it will be fabulous!

Baked Corn

This was a super hit at Thanksgiving. Family is very fussy and I am shocked that they like this so much they asked me to make it at Christmas! Interestingly, I didn't either like or dislike it myself. But who cares....they loved it!!

Cranberry Salad III

Made this for a Labor Day Picnic and it was a hit. It wasn't terribly sweet and the color was festive next to the salads. I used the smaller can of pineapple and it worked just fine. Easy to make!

Easy Turkey Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2004
Took a chance and hit a bullseye!! Everybody loved it. Next time I will try egg noodles as listed instead of the spaghetti I used. When people were scraping the bottom all they got was overcooked spaghetti! UGH! I think mixing the noodles with the sauce before putting it in the casserole might be a good idea. This is extremely easy and absolutely delish!!

Chewy Chocolate Cookies I

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2002
If the term "BET YOU CAN'T EAT ONE" ever described a cookie perfectly, this is the one!! I've made cookies for over 40 years and can't believe I never thought of this one. It's very easy and very delicious. I used real butter like it stated and (oink, oink) I think that really made a difference!! HINT: Let them cool a bit before trying to remove them...lot easier. Thanks for a great recipe, Linda
