Lance's French Onion Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2012
I loved the recipe, but did make a few changes. I used 64oz of beef broth, 2&1/2 tsp beef bouillon, and used a mixture of shredded Swiss, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. I also omitted the wine. I used a mixture of 3 sweet and 2 yellow onions. It was sweet enough that I could have left out the sugar. Yummy soup that had my husband going back for thirds!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2012
Loved this recipe!!! I used ground turkey instead of ground beef, and turkey sausage. The only difference I noticed was it was less greasy. I did not have 1 and 1/2 hours to let the red sauce simmer, it only simmered for 45minutes. It was a family hit!!! I will definitely be using this recipe again!!! Thank you John Chandler!!!

Greek Garbanzo Bean Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2012
The flavor of this salad depends on what dressing you use. I used Briannas Home Style Real French Vinaigrette Dressing. I brought it to a potluck at work, and it was a huge hit!

Bodega Bay Cioppino

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
I made this recipe tonight for my family. I LOVE Cioppino!!! Growing up on the Mendocino Coast, I ate a lot of fresh seafood. Now that I live a little more inland this dish works well with the not so fresh seafood I get at my local market. I made a few adjustments…. First I used fresh basil instead of dried. Second I am not a huge Scallop fan, so I exchanged them for Cod fillets. And last of all I love a little kick, so I added some crushed red pepper flakes to the stock before adding my seafood. I served it with a Chardonnay, and crusty French bread. This is a great recipe to play with….Happy Cooking!
