Good starting point, lends itself well to customize as you wish. Add a bunch of your favorite veggies. I would recommend going heavy handed with fresh herbs and spices, including the salt and pepper. Thicken with cornstarch until desired consistency is achieved. Made into individual pies using puff pastry. Will definitely make again!

Almond Wild Rice

Spinach Whole Wheat Quesadillas

This was a nice idea to switch up my usual bean and cheese quesadillas. Scallions are a nice touch. Delicious with a mug of tomato soup.

Buttery Corn Bread

Wonderful Waffles

Followed the recipe and method exactly and these were really wonderful indeed! Next time I will sub half the AP flour with whole wheat. It's not everyday that I make waffles from scratch, so I don't mind all the work - it's part of the fun! Froze the leftover waffles. A+++

Heavenly White Cake

Very elegant cake, and equally delicious! Followed others suggestions such as adding 1/2 extra milk, preparing the merengue last and folding it in. The undertones of the almond extract really make the cake. Perfect with a good buttercream and raspberry filling. Absolutely happy with the results!!

Spicy Black Bean Empanadas

Very tasty. I omitted the pork and added corn and kidney beans to the black beans. Also used pepperjack cheese and used salsa instead of tomato sauce. I had no problems with the puff pastry, just don't let it get too soft. Made 8 medium sized empanadas. Froze the leftovers. Will definitely make again!

My Crab Cakes

Long time crab cake lover, first time crab cake maker. These were really delicious! I used freshly picked blue crab and added a little fresh parsley and fresh lemon juice. Also, ditched the cayenne and added more Old Bay. Baked for 30 min at 350, as per other's suggestions.

Key Lime Pie VII

One of the best key lime pies I've ever had. Very easy to make. Made with Graham Cracker Crust I from this site and topped with some homemade whipped cream. Everyone was impressed!

Simple White Cake

Made this recipe twice now. The second time I used 3/4 cup milk and the cake came out perfectly fluffy and moist. Also added an extra splash of vanilla. Will use this again and again, especially for cupcakes!
