Easy BBQ Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2012
After realizing I was low on every single ingredient (aside from the chicken), I decided to just see what I had. It just so happened that I used up the rest of my bbq sauce, honey and ketchup and each had exactly half the amount required for each. Talk about lucky. Since I'm not a fan of onion, I threw some onion powder in instead. This was so amazing that I even used the sauce at the bottom of the pan for my potatoes as well! This is definitely a keeper.

Frothy Eggnog

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2011
I absolutely loved this. We didn't have the rum flavoring, so I added a bit more vanilla. My boyfriend said it's a bit more runny than store bought eggnog, but he's happier with that. I think it's creamier, which is why I'm happy.

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2011
I've made this twice now, and I must say this is the best thing that has ever graced my tastebuds. I had some black raspberries from my backyard that I used in this. There was no cheesecloth on hand, so it was a bit seedy, but tasty nonetheless. My second try turned out better because I followed the cheesecake tips on this site. Less cracking and the edge was nice and soft.

Amazing Apple Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2011
I have made this so many times now. It is absolutely wonderful! You do have to be careful when picking which kind of apples you put in it though. Some of them just don't taste good at all. I've used cream cheese frosting on this, but I've also found that leaving it plain and then having the caramel cream frosting (recipe on this site) as a glaze is quite good too. I put the glaze in a bottle off to the side and squirt it on whenever I need it.

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2011
I've made this twice now. Both times were for Mother's Day. Everyone in the family adored it...and I'm so happy that my mom loved it too. I used cooked shrimp instead of raw and then took the tails off after they thawed. I served the scampi over fettuccine noodles and added some chopped up broccoli. I also added more garlic since my family loves garlic. I will make this again and again. It was so easy and one of the tastiest dinners ever.

Caramel Cream Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2011
This is more of a glaze than a frosting. I love drizzling it over the top of the Amazing Apple Cake (recipe on this site). The taste of this reminds me of caramel chews, which is good because I always loved them. However, this doesn't taste very creamy. Also, it was my first time dealing with dissolved sugar. I had such a difficult time getting the spoon unstuck from the bottom of the pan after transferring it to the mixture. Lesson learned, I guess.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2012
I made this cake a few months back for Mother's Day. My mom loved it. I did use mini chocolate chips as a few people advised. I also used triple chocolate fudge cake mix. I used a mocha frosting that turned out a bit too runny, so we just drizzled it over the top every time we took a piece. It was so yummy! I'm making this again tonight with a white cake mix, white chocolate pudding mix, and white chocolate chips. I'll be making this into a rainbow cake for my sister's birthday. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2012
I've been baking this cake ever since I was 6 and found it in my mom's Hershey's cookbook. The only difference I notice is that this recipe calls for buttermilk while the one in the cookbook calls for sour milk (1 tsp vinegar mixed with the milk sours it). Since I never have buttermilk on hand, the sour milk is always the way I go. Always this will be my favorite chocolate cake recipe. It is so moist and full of flavor. Unlike a lot of other cakes, this one gets better a day or two after being baked. It gets more moist and the flavors come out more, in my opinion.

Unbelievable Pineapple Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2013
Normally I don't like pineapple (it's a texture issue), but this pineapple cake is delicious! I made cupcakes and frosted them with cherry cream cheese frosting. The only thing I did differently is that I omitted the walnuts. I baked these for my stepdad's birthday, and I'm not entirely sure if he likes nuts. In regards to another comment, I didn't find this a dry cake at all.

3-Minute Mochaccino

Reviewed: May 7, 2013
This was pretty good. I had a little bit of chocolate ice cream left in the freezer, so I added that to the mix as well. Like another reviewer said, it was a bit watery, but the ice cream fixed that right up.

Firecracker Fried Chicken Drumsticks

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2011
I used chicken breasts because that's what I had available. I also used tapatio hot sauce, since I'm not a fan of hot pepper sauce. I think it could have used a lot more hot sauce than what was listed. I even let it marinade for around 3 hours. Maybe next time I'll let it go for an entire day. That should up the spiciness.
