About this Cook
I'm 24 years old and I'm from a very small town in Mississippi that isn't even on most maps. I love to cook and bake but I also love movies, music, musical theater, reading, writing, art, cross-stitching, baseball and softball.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. During the holidays I'm always assigned the desserts and that is OK with me because they are my favorites anyway. I really love baking cakes, brownies or cookies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love gathering with my family during the holidays and cooking up the meal for either Thanksgiving or Christmas!!
My cooking triumphs
I made some really good turtle brownies for Christmas that were a hit and I did decorate a birthday cake for my uncle as well that turned out great if I must say so myself.
My cooking tragedies
Ughh...where do I begin, LOL!!!

Mom's Zucchini Bread
I have made this bread several times with fresh zuchchini out of our garden and my family loved it. It is moist and has a great flavor. It has become a favorite of my family and I get requests for it all the time!!

The Best Chicken Fried Steak
These steaks were wonderful. My family absolutely loved them. However, I did add spices to the flour mixture as well.
