I made this recipe with Benecol (non-dairy margarine) instead of oil. They turned out great! When made with Benecol this recipe is about as healthy as you can get for a chocolate dessert that tastes this good! These have to be kept in the fridge or freezer...the colder they are the better they taste...I'm suspecting that some people that gave low reviews didn't keep them chilled.

This is a great recipe to make with a young child or for peanut butter lovers of any age. They taste great! They remind me of peanut butter cookie dough...yum. There is a lot of room for variation to this recipe too...like adding chocolate.

Excellent recipe!!! It's true, even if you're not a big fan of broccoli or corn bread, you will still probably love this!

This is a favorite at my house! And every time I give them as gifts, people rave about them. My 3 year old will sit & unwrap all the chocolate kisses for me (usually without eating too many)! The secret is not to bake more than 2 minutes. The Kisses don't really melt or lose shape in the oven, they just become soft so that they collapse when you put the M&M on top. I use the square waffle pretzels, because I can't find the round ones. Also, I tried using the caramel Kisses and they were so fabulous (although slightly messier)! You can use the peanut M&M with the caramel Kisses to make a chocolate "turtle" pretzel! But, my family prefers the basic recipe so I usually stick to that!

These were easy to make and the flavor is great. I steamed mushrooms with the carrots and left out the onion. Turned out great!

This recipe did not work for me. I found it impossible to cook the egg enough so that it was safe to give to a childz. You can't flip it because of the cheese, so the egg never fully cooks on the other side. I tried again turning down the heat, but again the bread burns before the egg even comes close to being fully cooked. The third time I tried this, I left off the cheese and just added the egg, so that I could flip it and have a fully cooked egg.
