Fettuccine Alfredo IV

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2013
Made it tonight, it was awesome!! I used only 3/4 cup of butter, and it was fine. Next time, I'll use a 1/2 cup and see how that turns out. My husband and sons LOVED this!!!!

Cracked Sugar Cookies I

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2013
Perfect drop sugar cookie!! I followed the recipe exactly and let the dough balls flatten in the oven as stated. My dough was crumbly at first but I kept mixing until the dough came together. I also dipped the balls in sugar before baking for extra sweetness. For the salt that some reviewers thought was missing, I used one stick of salted butter along with one stick of unsalted, because that's what I had on hand...worked fine!! My husband loved these!!!

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2012
My first time ever making toffee and it came out perfectly!!! I used salted butter and heavy-bottomed sauce pan.. I stirred constantly until the butter melted and then stirred only occasionally with the heat on medium. My butter did not separate at all using this method!! After reading the other reviews, I heated the mixture to just under 300 degrees and then poured it immediately onto a parchment-lined sheet pan and quickly spread it with an offset spatula. I then sprinkled on the chocolate chips and waited a couple of minutes until they melted enough to spread, just as the instructions indicated. Absolutely delicious!!! Thanks for the great recipe!!!!

Strawberry Coffee Cake

This was outstanding!! One of the tastiest coffee cakes I have ever made. It IS rather sweet, but I loved it that way. I followed the directions exactly, and the outcome was perfect.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
Big and beautiful rolls - these are by no means dainty!!! Delicious and soft, with or without added butter...my sons devoured them hot out of the oven. I used 2 1/2 tsp bread machine yeast insted of the packet. Thanks for the wonderful recipe!!

White Layer Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
I did not find this cake to be tasty at all!! Texture, moisture and presentation were spot on, but the flavor was so odd and non "cake-like" that I tossed the entire thing into the garbage the next morning. This tastes nothing like any bakery, wedding, or homemade cake I have ever eaten. Very strange tasting!!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
Just came out of the oven and, slathered with sweet butter, it is absolutely delicious! I used one full cup of sugar by mistake and it was still fantastic. Very sweet and moist. Will definitely make again!

Blonde Brownies I

Why all the fuss? This was not even average. The basic Toll House recipe spread in a baking pan even tastes better. Very disappointing.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
What awesome stuff this is!! My guests loved it, and proclaimed it the best chili they had ever eaten. I didn't have the italian sausage, so I used extra ground beef instead. Next time I'm adding cubed sirloin. I used a can of diced green chilies instead of a green chile, and I left out the tabasco sauce - it was spicy enough without it! Thanks for a great recipe!

Empanadas

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
These were pretty good, but not totally great. Next time I'll roll the dough thinner, and maybe use powdered sugar instead of flour for rolling.

Five stars, IF you add a chopped, seeded cumcumber. Absolutely authentic tasting and fabulous!

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2006
Just finished making and eating this - it's fabulous! I used the whole block of cream cheese and garlic powder instead of fresh. I also used low fat alfredo sauce because that is all I had. It is every bit as good, if not better, than any restaurant dip I have ever tried!! Thanks so much for the recipe!

Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2005
As others have said, absolutely delicious!! I just finished baking a double batch and got about 18 cookies with an average-sized gingerbread boy cutter. My toddler and three year old loved them, as did my picky husband. I used raisins for eyes and buttons and they were perfect!! Thanks for a great recipe!

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2005
Delicious!! Made this for dessert on Easter and the entire family loved it! Made the mistake of using a small box of jello instead of the larger size, but since I added fresh strawberries instead of frozen, it worked out fine anyway. The sweet/salty pretzel crust is different and tasty...didn't have a problem with sticking as I sprayed the pan with cooking spray before pressing down the crust ingredients. I will definitely be making this again and again!

Homemade Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2004
This was really good! Next time, though, I will make 2X the sauce, using 1.5X in the lasagna and serving the rest on the side. I also used 8oz cottage cheese and 16 oz ricotta in the cheese mixture because it seemed too runny with the three eggs otherwise. Next time I may cut the eggs to two and use 8oz cottage cheese and 8oz ricotta. Very, very tasty, and will definitely make again.

Made this last night and it was really delicious! Used a large can of chopped tomatoes as others have suggested, and fennel Italian sausage. Very, very, very good!
