This is not only the best peach ice cream I have ever had, but one of the best ice creams I have had period. EVERYONE who has even tasted it loves it. I did tweak the recipe a bit. I cut the sugar down by 1/3, and 25% of the sugar used for I used brown sugar (1-1/2 cups white, 1/2 cup brown on a half recipe). I also added a pinch of cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and fresh ground nutmeg.....FABULOUS!!! We only have a quart size ice cream maker, so we used a half recipe, and it still filled the thing twice. Definite keeper!

This recipe is very very easy to make, and I suppose for the effort involved, it is great. Since a majority of the ingredients are canned, it does have that canned, bland taste, which again, given the quick fix recipe, still comes out good. I think the cheese was waaaaay to much. I love cheese, but this was more like a cheese enchilada with chiles on the bottom.

Absolutely fantastic. I am not a big pancake lover, made these mostly for the family, but I thought they were fantastic. Thick pancakes that are fluffy in the middle,and golden buttery crisp on the outside. We will for sure be adding this recipe to our collection as our go-to pancake. I have been looking for a good tomatillo salsa recipe, and think I have it. This is one of the best I have every had! I took the suggestion of Nina L and just blended the ingrediants first, then cooked, didn't come out too watery at all. I also added the boullion cubes she suggested, was great!

I have made this recipe several times now, and it has always been a huge hit. We served for Thanksgiving, and every body raved over it, especially the sauce. One of the more seasoned grandmother cooks there called it "sinful!" I usually have to use an extra cup of bread pieces to soak up most the liquid (and it helps tremendously to use day old bread since it soaks up better). I also doubled the amount of rum because I couldn't taste it with the recipe amount, maybe because I was using light rum. But a big thanks to the author, this recipe will be in our holiday repertoire always!

Wow!!! Just did our first batch, and it is heaven! The onions and cheese add so much flavor that it is fantastic plain. The only issue I had was with the yeast, it did not raise well (maybe the 70-80 deg water is too cold?). The net time I did it with warmer water, and let the yeast activate in the sugar and water before mixing it in with the rest of the ingredients. We will definitely be making this regularly. Absolutely fantastic, some of the best brownies I have every had. The flavor and texture are perfect, rich, dense, bitter chocolate with just enough sweet. Definitely keeping this recipe. Brooke, you rock!!
