Baked Ziti II

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2003
Easy and delicious. I made the recipe without any changes. However,I'm sure that if you were in the mood for adding ground beef, ground turkey, or italian sausage the recipe would turn out great as well.

Cappuccino Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2004
This is a an easy and quick gift idea. I also used a food processor to blend the ingredients together. By making a recipe and a half, I was able to fill a one quart wide mouth canning jar to the top. I covered the top with a fabric top and tied an ingredient card to the jar with a raffia ribbon.

Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2004
This recipe is AWESOME! I didn't have any green onions, so I chopped up a half of a small yellow onion and sauteed it before adding it to the soup. I used one percent milk, light sour cream and reduced fat shredded cheddar cheese. Will I make this soup again--you bet!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2004
Oh my, this is recipe is easy and good! My husband raved about it, and my daughter had three helpings at dinner time. We even sprinkled some crumbled bacon on top of the soup, which was tasty. Thanks for sharing!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2004
Yummy! I would imagine that this recipe would also be good with meat instead of chicken, or without either as a vegetarian meal.

Greek Pasta Salad I

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2004
Yummy! I like that this pasta salad recipe that does not have the usual "italian dressing, carrot and broccoli pieces". I used 3/4 of the amount required for oil and vinegar, so that the vinegar wasn't too overpowering.

Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2004
This recipe is AWESOME! My husband grilled the pork tenderloin (actually there were two smaller ones in the package--one and a half pounds total) for about 20-25 minutes. I couldn't find apple jelly in my grocery store, so we passed on the sauce this time. My husband suggested maybe using plum jelly instead of apple for next time. Can't wait!

I made a half recipe with this and made 8 good sized wraps. These are definitely going to be made again, since they are so easy, delicious and once made ahead provides an INSTANT dinner.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2004
This is the first time I have tried a recipe that had not been reviewed. I am happy to report that this is NOT your TV dinner version of Salisbury Steak! We all enjoyed this for dinner, and I will certainly make this again! It is very easy to prepare, and is wonderful with mashed potatoes and green beans.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2004
GREAT recipe as is, but I'm sure you can doctor it up to suit your tastes. I teamed it up with the Exquisite Pizza Sauce, which is also on this web site.

White Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2005
A tasty recipe! I cound't find cans of Great Northern beans at my supermarket (I have since been told that they are cannellini beans), so I used kidney beans instead. I also could't find cheddar cheese with jalapeno peppers, so opted for shredded cheddar cheese and added chopped jalapeno slices from a jar. I suppose that is one way to have control over the "heat"!

We went blueberry picking today, and boy did this recipe come in handy. Great, great recipe!! I also followed the suggestion of increasing the cornstarch to 5 tablespoons.

Great recipe! The only change was that I used ground turkey instead of ground beef. I also made Baked Corn 1 (also from this site) as a side dish.

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2004
Outstanding! We had this last Friday night, and it disappeared. I couldn't find a block of American cheese for the recipe, but used an 8 oz. bag 4-cheese blend (finely shredded), which worked out great. This is our new homemade mac and cheese recipe from now on!

What a great recipe! And oops--I forgot to add the sugar, and it was still delicious. I followed other reviews and doubled the amount of ingredients for the sauce. We will be having this for dinner again soon!

Best Ever Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2003
Oh, these ARE the best ever!! Blending the cream cheese and shredded cheddar in a food processor seemed to help. I didn't have bacon, but these still tasted terrific. I have a feeling that I too will have to make these again soon and set aside some time to make a 100 or so to freeze and have handy!

Mostaccioli with Spinach and Feta

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2003
What a delicious and colorful recipe. Since fresh tomatoes aren't at their best this time of year, I substituted a large can of diced tomatoes. Also, following the suggestion of another reviewer and added 6 slices of cooked and crumbled bacon.
