I have not yet tried this recipe, but would LOVE to. I thought my second wife made best Lasagna but this recipe sounds EXCELLENT!
But the ONE MOST IMPORTANT THING I HAVE LEARNED IN MY 45+ years of cooking is to NOT BE OFFENDED if someone is not terribly enthusiastic about my "concoctions" because everybody's taste is different!! For example, a delicacy here in the Philippines is a partially boiled egg that has a baby chicken in the shell. I have often said I will taste anything once, but this is something I just CANNOT force myself to try, but most of my neighbors love them, specially when drinks are served.
But to get back to this lasagna recipe, First, I would eliminate the salt. I love SPICY Italian sausage and would substitute for the sweet. Onions are also a big part of my flavorings so I would at least double the amount plus add both garlic and onion powders as well as adding a little oregano oregano (what is Italian food without oregano?). I would also eliminate the ricotta and double the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
But, AGAIN, this is to reflect MY tastes, not to imply there is something WRONG with the recipe!
