Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
This is excellent! I used fresh baby spinich leaves, instead of canned. I doubled the amount of mushrooms and sauted them in butter. When they were nearly done, I added the spinich to wilt the leaves. I also cut the chicken in bite sized pieces and sauted in butter in a skillet instead of baking. I followed the rest of the recipe exactly, and it was absolutely delicious. My three year old even liked it. I served it over a bed of pasta. This is definitely a keeper!

Mushroom Slow Cooker Roast Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2011
This is fabulous! Extremely easy to put together before work, and the whole family thought it was delicious. My family loves mushrooms, so I added 3 (8 oz) packages of fresh sliced mushrooms instead of the pound specified in the recipe. I also sliced up two onions and minced 5 cloves of garlic and added them to the crockpot in the beginning. I used Foster's Pale Ale beer, since I could buy one can of it for pretty cheap (I don't care for beer so never buy it). I will definitely make this again.

Zucchini Bread IV

Reviewed: May 12, 2010
This recipe is wonderful! I've made it several times and always get good reviews from my family. I followed the recipe as written, except leaving out the walnuts (personal preference).

Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
After reading the recipe and several reviews, I tried it with a few suggested tweeks -- what a hit! I've made it several times and my family and friends have all declared this to be their favorite chile ever, with just the right blend of flavors and texture. I used a 28 oz. can diced tomatoes, a can of tomato soup and a 15 oz. can tomato sauce for the liquids, left out the cumin, but kept everything else as stated. It freezes well (when I was able to make it and put it up without family knowing). I look forward to this go-to dish during the cold winter nights ahead. Thanks!

I followed the recipe exactly. While it smelled amazing, no one in family liked it. I will not be making this again.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

This is delicious! The only thing I left out was the bay leaf (because I didn't have one).

Ratatouille Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2011
We love this! The only thing I do differently is add a package of beef kilbasa (cut up) before simmering for 20 minutes.

Fresh Strawberry Pie I

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2003
Very good and very easy! I used an already prepared frozen shortbread pie crust instead of making my own. I was only able to make one pie with this recipe, but it was a huge hit. I will certainly make this again.

This is absolutely delicious! I followed the recipe exactly, and everyone in my family, including my two kids loved it. There were enough leftovers for two additional nights of meals for the family.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2007
This is a good recipe. With the following changes I made, this recipe is five stars. I used 3 chicken breasts instead of four, and I substituted cream of potato soup for the cream of mushroom soup. I added garlic salt and 1/4 cup of milk to the mixture. Before I put the cracker crumbs and butter on top, I put about 3/4 cup of shredded cheddar on top. The whole family liked it; I will definitely make this again.

Carnation® Quiche Lorraine

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2006
This is very easy to make and very good. The only change I made was using real bacon bits instead of frying my own bacon, and I also sauted the onions in 2 Tbsp of butter before I combined the bacon and onions. I will definitely make this again.

Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2003
Excellent! My husband and I both love this. I add about a handful more of cheddar cheese in the mix than the recipe calls for. I also use only four chicken breasts and pour the remaining topping mixture on top of the already coated chicken. Very yummy and easy!
