About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Almost anything is up for game once. If it works well I'll go at it again. I love to try new recipes but can't handle watching someone try them once they are done.
My cooking triumphs
My first pot roast, that Chinese Pork Roast I substituted ingredients on and never thought would work out - LOVED IT! No, I didn't write it down... Pulling off my first Memorial Day gathering for family and friends and being told everything was excellent. I had people rave over things they typically refused to touch. Most recently, helping my daughter learn to cook.
My cooking tragedies
Overflowed a chocolate cake (ok, watched it happen, daughter was making it for 4H) in a pan that I KNOW was the right size...

Meatball Nirvana
This recipe is my go to, (five star as it is written)... Or it was until my daughter's dairy allergy cut it out. I just made a much requested second round of these using nutritious yeast for the cheese and unsweetened almond milk instead of skim milk. The typically "the more butter the better" DH and very picky DD love them, even more than the original recipe.

Italian Wheat Rolls
I made these for the first time the day before yesterday, for a memorial service for my mother in law. Not only was this the first time making this recipe, but my first time making rolls ever. My sister in law told me she had people asking if I cater and everywhere I turned people were raving about these. The first batch left me saying "ok, so it worked, but I don't know if I can do enough for the party. The second batch was easier and went much quicker and I was off on a mission. We bought two sets of back up/extra (1 dozen total) from a local store that makes fresh but never needed them, we had plenty with what I had made. People thought they had been professionally and purchased. My mother and my mother in law would have both been thrilled, and I can highly recommend this recipe!

Adeni Tea
This is beyond could become, it is addictive. I've done it more often without the tea to eliminate the caffeine factor and I like it just as much.
