Shearers' Mince and Potato Hot Pot

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
We found it a bit bland, and it took way more than the specified time to cook. We sliced our potatoes very thinly using a mandoline slicer, and it still took nearly an hour and a half of baking for the potatoes to be mostly tender. Some were still crunchy after all that time. If I make it again, I'll add some seasonings to jazz it up a bit, and I'll partially cook my potatoes before baking, to reduce the baking time.

Golden Burger Spirals

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
This was a simple, tasty dish that my family enjoyed. I made a couple of changes. I used pasta sauce instead of tomato sauce, and I used rice instead of pasta. It turned out well and tasted good. Put a salad with it for a quick, easy meal.

Spanish Rice Chicken I

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2003
I made this for a dinner party with friends, and it was a big hit! Very easy to prepare, excellent flavor - what's not to like? I wouldn't change a thing, and I'll definitely make this again.

El Grande Borezo Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2003
If I were rating solely on ease of preparation, I would give this recipe 5 stars. It was incredibly easy to prepare, and it turned out well. The chicken was moist and did have a good flavor to it. My only complaint is that it needs a bit more seasoning. Next time I might use garlic salt instead of garlic powder, or I might add some more seasoning in addition to the garlic powder. I'll definitely keep it in my recipe box, though.

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2002
I made this cake for a potluck lunch at work, and it got rave reviews - all but about two slices were gone by the end of the meal! I substituted bourbon for the coffee liqueur, and used mini chocolate chips instead of the regular sized ones. I baked it for an hour in a stoneware Bundt pan, and it turned out great - very moist, and the bourbon gave it a good flavor. And it was so easy to make! I'll definitely make this one again.
