I have 4 Michelin..TIRES on my car. Brought up in NY City, in a Middle Eastern, German and Italian background - with a Grandmother who insisted I stand by her to learn "how to cook everything" - so I'd never STARVE to death. She was right, God bless her.
My favorite things to cook
It HAS to be easy with simple clean up. I AM the sous chef, the chef and the pot washer... so I like to make it all simple. That also gives me time to spend with my guests AND I'm not too tired to enjoy my food
My favorite family cooking traditions
A family that EATS together, stays together. In our busy lives, it is the ONE time we can be together, chat, relax and ENJOY LIFE TOGETHER. Kids won't LIKE all that's on their plate... that;s WHY we have dogs as pets - they have to eat "something" too. Relax & enjoy the family moment "Food traditions"? - all dishes that are "so good, no one talks for awhile - they're too busy enjoying the food" Grandma.

Trying SO many different recipes and dishes of many nationalities and ... NO one has died yet!
My cooking tragedies
HAH! My loving Daughter (whose name I purposely MIS spelled in my Will!) will remind one and ALL of the steaks and hamburgers I burned to CHARCOAL/HOCKEY PUCKS on the BBQ while I was enjoying the.. hmnnn cocktail "2 hours" with guests. Thank God nearby restaurants in NY had Home Delivery. I love her anyway

Chicken Enchiladas II
NEVER AGAIN!! The last few times I made this for dinner guests (using the corn rather than flour tortilla wraps) the guests not only ATE EVERY MORSEL ... they asked if they could come BACK for ANOTHER dinner, the next time I made this dish. Never again!! Anyone in need of Dinner Guests - contact me and I'll give you several names... !

Potato Enchilada
It tastes really good. Since reviewers noted some "bland" flavor, I added about 3-4 drops of tobasco hot sauce to the tomato and since other said it looks... blah (?), before eating it, I took off my glasses !!

Egg in a Hole
Definitely a 5* as my kids would say. We all enjoyed it for years. A few short cuts: LIGHTLY toast the sliced bread first, cut a perfect size circle in middle of toast by putting toast on cutting board and pressing down with lip of a glass the same size as hole you want, serve that cutout toast on the side for dipping, brush melted butter or olive oil on both sides of toast then fry. When first side is hot, flip and add the egg to the middle. Cook til egg is done to personal satisfaction - serve hot! A 5 star "keeper"
