Spinach and Strawberry Salad

A bit too sweet for my taste, but still delicious. I will half the sugar next time and toss in some sliced almonds as suggested. Simply because I prefer a bit more "tang" to my salads. Might want to try a bit of minced garlic as well. Bet it would add an extra zip to the oil/vinegar mixture. Great salad! :)

Honey Pork with Peppers

Quick, easy, and completely YUMMY!!! Hubby loved it and quickly gobbled it up. Served with home made mashed potatoes. Think next time I'll try it with rice too. Thanks for sharing! Jennifer :)

Spiced Beef Stew

I like real veggies in my stews so I added baby carrots, celery, and potatoes and used a whole can of beer and additional beef broth. DELICIOUS! Hubby gobbled it up as fast as I did!

Pork Butt Roast with Vegetables

Not much to say except DANG!!! I couldn't even use a knife on this roast because it simply SLID through the meat. I had to peel it with a fork after cooking it was soooo tender and moist. Followed recipe to a T. Did NOT, however, add potatoes as I am watching my carbs. Substituded more carrots and portabella mushrooms for potatoes. Yummy!!!!!

Pork Chops and Sauerkraut

Just LOVED this recipe! What a great spin on plain old porkchops. As others, I did not have any apple juice handy, so I substituded applesauce, otherwise, I followed the recipe to the T. Make a side order of potatoes to go with, and you have a complete meal in 30 minutes. DELISH!

Sour Cream and Chive Mashed Potatoes

Yum Yum Yum!!! Followed recipe to the T except I added a little sprinkled cheddar cheese on top at the end. Looks, smells, and tastes delish! Very easy.

Apple Crumble Pie

Easy as pie (no pun intended)! I doubled the ingredients and made 2 pies (one's never enough). Get you some whipping cream and whip up a large bowl of fresh whippig cream to accompany pies. Do not add sugar into the cream. The sweet pie and the light and fluffy unsugared whip cream are a great offset! Enjoy! :)

Mini Meatloaves

Baked Pork Chops II

Yum Yum Yum! Great, quick, easy, and I had all ingredients on hand. I did, however, have to substitute regular mustard for dried mustard, but it still came out delishous! Hubby loved them. Will make them again and again. Thanks! Jen

Venison Vegetable Soup

Three words....YUM, YUM, YUM!!! Absolutely delicious and not a soup that sits in your belly for hours or makes you feel overstuffed. I did, however, use "ground" venison (Deer meat) instead of cubed and substituted fresh veggies instead of frozen. I also used real garlic (3 large cloves) instead of the powdered version. A word of caution to you "finiky" folks...this soup WILL retain it's "gamey" flavor, though it is rather subtle. Do not think that you can simply simmer it out. If you love Venison, you'll love this soup! A+++

Cream of Chicken Breasts

Want a recipe that's easy to make and chicken that is tender enough to cut with a fork? Then this is the recipe for you! I followed directions to the T and made a side of whole grain rice to go with. I think next time I may try to add a few capers for zip.

The World's Best Turkey

I took the risk and it paid off!!! EVERYONE loved this turkey! I generally slow cook my turkey all nite, but this method was much faster and the turkey was VERY flavorful and tender! For a bit extra tendercy, try cooking a bit slower at about 250-275 degrees for an extra hour and a half or until golden brown. Also made great gravy! Two of my finicky guest already asked me to give them the recipe. WOW!

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Stop the presses! I HATE stuffing, but made this for my guests and wound up eating most of it myself! I cut the liquids by half (as others had recommended) and cooked on low heat stirring occasionally. Worked like a charm. This will NOT be one of those dry crumbly stuffings, but rather kind of mushy. I prefer mushy and the flavor is OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Chili II

Not the quickest chili to make, but not overwhelming either. Follow the recipe to a "T" and you'll have a meaty, flavorful, dish to please anyone. I particularly liked this recipe since it does not contain flour and is good for people concerned about their carb intake. I also gave the carb lovers in my life a bag of Frito's to go along with the meal and I'm sure cornbread would also be a delicious sidedish. Enjoy this recipe, it's a keeper!

Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

Ohhhh Myyyyyy Goooooodddd!!!! I have, for a long time, stayed away from pasta's and potatoes, but this soup is too delicious to ignore!!! I made this mainly for my hubby who LOVED it. I, myself, ate 3 bowls! My coworker begged me for the recipe after I gave her the leftover soup to try. She said she'd rather have this soup than Turkey on Thanksgiving! LOL A++++ all the way!

Continental Chicken

Extrodinarily delicious! I used only 1/3 of the ingredients since I only used 1lb of chicken (I only have to feed myself and my husband). I did, however, use the entire can of diced tomatoes and the whole clove of garlic. Slap this mixture on a bed of rice and enjoy! Fast, easy, and absolutely scrumptious! An instant favorite!

Plum Cake

Barlow's Blackened Catfish

I used only half the cayene and had a ton of seasoning left after coating two large filets. You can place the leftover seasoning mixture in a zip lock bag to reuse next time. Spicy, tangy, and delicious!

Cream of Mushroom Chicken

Yummy and a snap to make. Luckily I read the other comments before cooking and decided to heed their warnings. I only included half the water and canned milk as called for and substituded sliced fresh portabella mushrooms for canned. Absolutely delicious and a smash, tho' still a bit too thin. Would recommend no water and perhaps half and half instead of evaporated milk.

Savory Turkey Gravy

Great flavor and very easy to make. Was a bit too oily for me, but this could stricktly depend on your method of using home made turkey stock. Overall, a good recipe!
