Well, I am really not sure how to rate this one. I have lived in New England my entire life so I think I expected this to be the type of chowder we have around here. It was a very basic recipe, but the taste just didn't do it for me. It was thick & creamy, but didn't taste very much like anything but cream & butter. I missed the clam taste that I am used to from the chowders around here. So, I may make this again but I would add more clam juice and maybe cut back on the half & half a little. I did add bacon to my chowder but left out the carrots, because carrots in chowder just seemed a little odd to me.
