Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler

loved this cobbler i did make a few changes because i didn't have enough peaches, i added cherrys and 1 apple and about a tablespoon more corn starch also i didint use all the liquid when i was filling the cobbler....this is the 1st time i;ve made a crust and it came out great nice and flakey

Choco Shortbreads

best cookies ever the only thing i changed was i added about 3 shakes of nutmeg and i drizzeled the chocolate on top of the cookies instead putting them inside and i added some nuts to it........ doubling this recipe also works great.... :0)

Skiers' French Toast

Love this recipe I did change a few things I followed from a previous review (dianetampa)..... some reviews stated tht the syrup was hard I didn't have that problem you have to make sure not to boil the syrup.......I was also out of real milk and half and half so I used a dry milk1 1/2 c and canned evaporated milk 1c........ I was also out of corn syrup so I had to subsitute by making a simple syrup of 2T of sugar and 3T of water and simmering it.... when I layered the bread (soft oatmeal bread) I sprinkled nutmeg and cinnamon on each layer I also added abt a teaspoon of each 2 the custard mixture..baked @ 350 for 50 mins.

Cornbread Muffins I

I didn't really care for this not sure if I did something wrong or what the only thing I changed becuz I didn't have any frozen or canned corn so I used 3/4cof creamed corn.... thinking of turning the muffins into a stuffing becuz that wil not bake all the was thru

Strawberry Cake from Scratch

Loved this recipe I followed the suggestions of measuring the "shifted" flour and floding in the egg whites@ the end ..... only thing I did wrong and totaly my mistake I didn't realize it said cake flour until I started cooking so I used all purpose flour(I also shifted abt 2 times after I measured).......the cake came out great a little dense but every1 loved it i saw a review after I was done that said u can add corn starch to the all purpose flour dnt knw if that works or not . But this cake was great.... also I used a store brought cream cheese frosting and added some fresh strawberry pruee to it delious

Mom's Buttermilk Biscuits

These biscuits came out great not bland @ all I brushed the tops w butter ... aslo if ur out of buttermilk like myself u can put 1 tablespoon of distilled white vinger in ur milk and let it sit 4 5-10 mins until it cruddles (that's a subsit. For buttermilk)

Sky-High Biscuits

Biscuits came out great I did take the suggestion from another reviewer and added 3Tof sugar 2T of honey and 3/4 c of milk( also I was out of cream of tartar did knw it though so I put in a 1/2t of baking soda)... them came out moist fluffy and had a great sweetness to it.... def will do it again

GREAT RECIPE I DID TAKE THE ADVISE OF OTHERS AND ADDED MORE GRAHAM CRACKERS TO GIVE IT THAT EXTRA FLAVOR AND I DIDNT WAIT FOR THE BUBBLES AS U WOULD W REG, PANCAKES THEY WILL BURN IF U WAIT FOR THEM

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

These cookies came out super great I did take the advice of a reviewer and left out the water and used a 1T vanilla......and I used dark chocolate chips yummmmm these cookies only lasted a day

i love this recipe you really dont need to change anything i play aroung w the amount of cormeal and flour depending onmy mood this last time i used 2c cornmeal and 1 1/3c of flour and i always drizzel some bacon fat in but that is just a most from my southern grandmother.. over all GREAT GO TO
