Cream Puff Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2003
Instead of using all vanilla pudding, I used one white chocolate, one cheesecake, and one vanilla. I also stirred in a tablespoon or two of Nestle strawberry Quik. It turned out great! I loved the texture of the crust.

I let this heat in the oven for a full hour, and it came out very soft and easy to dip into. My boyfriend and I couldn't stop going for more!

I made these for my dad for his birthday. My mom said that he had to hide them because everyone kept eating them!

Baklava

I was so terrified to make baklava, but this recipe completely distilled that fear. It is so easy! Phyllo dough is actually pretty fun to work with, and the final product is fantastic!

Ginger Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2003
I liked this sauce. I made it for some pot stickers, and totally enjoyed the tangy kick this sauce provided. I used bottled lemon juice, but will real lemons next time. I also pureed the sauce for a while, because it takes some time to really mince the ginger root.

Cheese Filled Triangles

These were soo tasty! I loved that the spinach didn't have an overpowering taste, like it sometimes can. The Phyllo wasn't half as hard to work with as I thought it was.

Jodi's Marinated Veggies

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2003
I made this for Easter dinner, and everyone went back for seconds and thirds of this tasty dish! I will use the sauce for salad dressing, too. I found that using a wire whisk to combine the dressing made it easy to create suspension between the liquids.

Asian Tuna Patties

This recipe is so good! I added a quarter of an onion (sauted a bit before adding) and used oyster sauce instead of teriyaki. Now I know why all the other reviews are praising this dish, it's a winner!

Old-Fashioned Onion Soup

After reading the reviews and reading a few other onion recipes, I added a teaspoon of soy sauce and a few splashes of worchestershire sauce to the mix. This soup turned out "souperb"!

Glo's Sausage Fried Rice

This recipe makes SO much rice! I ate it for days and it just got better. Maybe I will half the recipe next time since it's only me and my boyfriend, but I will make this again. I did add some cilantro to the eggs, and some oyster sauce, it added an excellent flavor!

This soup was souperb! I only used 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and two of vinegar, added tofu, and it was GREAT! Definetely better than restaraunt style. I loved how easy it was, too. I will make this all the time!

Asian Ginger Dressing

Good recipe! I followed the other review suggestions and only used 1/2 cup of soy. I realized after making the dressing that I had forgotten the water, but it didn't matter! I liked having a creamy, tangy dressing with bite! My two friends that I shared it with said they could drink it straight!
